Re: I Don't Like Men Who Cook
because they cook better than women
a proven fact
maroush:
Who is this Rida Aftab
I applaud my husband who works full time and somehow still musters up the energy to cook once in a while.
Does him cooking make me feel insecure? No!
Do i consider him less manly? No!
Does it make me a bad wife? Maybe :o
Anyway, some of the best chefs in the world are men… i believe we should change the stereotype of women being the cooks of the household… it’s evidently a man’s domain.
You have not given any examples of what he cooks. So we are taking your post with a grain of salt. What does he cook, hamburger? And what is this about once in a while? I cook once or twice a week, so once in a while does not cut it at our house. Here is my repertoire. Kheema curry, chicken curry, broccoli saag, spinach daal saag, sweeet potatoe subzi, aloo mattar, bhuna chana, meatloaf waghara waghara waghara.
Pareezay:
Has Rida not seen mithai walas, doodh walas, jalebi walas, samosas and chaat walas, bun kabab walas on the streets of Karachi.. and most of them cook amazinggggg stuff. You will hardly ever see a female vendor in Karachi doing all that. All the men in my family are great cooks, while having awesome careers as well, mainly because during college they all dormed and stuff, and learnt to cook for themselves. My husband on the other hand doesn’t even know how to do dishes, the only time he ‘cooked’ in his life was when he helped me mix the brownies batter. But that doesn’t matter to me, I didn’t marry him for his cooking skills anyway. And as a wife, I do think it’s my responsibility to make sure my man is well fed **after a day of hard work **
Now if he wanted to cook occasionally, that would be cute, I won’t shoo him out of the kitchen.
Ha ha ha! We men got you fooled. He prolly plays on internet all day in his office and tells you he had such a hard day!
