As absurd as it may sound, I don’t like drinking water much. I know its advantages, I know how important it is, I know how much of a difference it brings but nothing can get me to drink water natural. Its always forceful! I forcefully bring myself to drink it. I love drinking other forms of liquids like juices, carbonated drinks, sodas etc. I have put an end to drinking them as well since my skin is getting effected.
I keep a bottle with me all the time. I have to remind myself all the time that I have to drink & only then I get to end it in a day. The maximum water glasses I drink are 4-5 and those too forcefully.
Now my skin is getting effected, my face is becoming dull, the skin has break outs & acne all the time that leave blemishes as well.
Is there any way, I can naturally get myself to drinking enough water?
do u like flavor water? try adding something to it like lemon, honey, a lil roohafsa etc or buy flavoured waters. u don't need to drink 8 glasses of water. any fluid will do like green tea, milk, juice(without added sugar). just avoid sodas.
I can’t drink water either so now I’ve started to put a Roasted barley tea bag in a big bottle and keep it in the fridge so when I’m thirsty I won’t drink sodas etc.
Its a good substitute for water and I’m also thinking about trying other Japanese teas that are beneficial for my skin etc
kakee, can you mention the names of those beneficial japanese teas for the skin please?
i love green tea with lemon and ginseng, that's the only type of green tea i can get myself to drink.
Daffy, do you workout? i had a similar problem of not likingwater too but after i started working out or doing any strenuous exercise, the major thirst you develop after an hour of an intense workout can get you to drink a whole bottle of water, it's like youve been in a desert and you crave that water.
Add sugar-free flavourings so drinking the water would seem like juice.
I would say avoid juice just like avoiding soda, unless it's all natural sugar-free juice. Most juices have just as much sugar as colas. It took me a while, but I managed to phase juice out of my diet. At first I craved the juice, but after a few weeks, I got used to drinking more water and now I don't crave juice at all anymore and drink only water with my meals.
I don’t really know if you can get them but having a mix of these is good for your skin.
Houttuynia Cordata in Japanese its simply called Dokudami its good for detoxing Rooibos Its good for dieting and atopic dermatitis Job’s Tears in Japanese its called Hatomugi this is good for your skin.
In Japan we have a tea called Soukenbicha it has a blend of all different types of herbs.
Now of course even if you drink tea but eat unhealthy foods your skin is going to be a wreck so keep everything balanced.
thanks :k: i do eat healthy already but these days i’m really obsessed about taking good care of my skin and body so i’m on the hunt for everything healthy and natural. the japanese have such beautiful skin, not talking about complexion wise but in terms of just clear and healthy looking skin
Its also because they eat a lot of fish and their diet is not that unhealthy. I don't think a lot of desi food are healthy... seeing as how much oil etc people use but of course I may be wrong.
Oh and you shouldn't eat so much meat because that also causes problems with your skin.
i hate drinking water too, its probably something to do with growing up in a cold country, i drink lots of tea, but will go without water for days, im also not a fan of any cold drink, be that fizzy or juice etc.
Nutritionist had a heart attack when i told her, but she advised me to start to drink room temp water one glass in the morning and one glass in the evening, and try to sip on some during the day, that way i am at least starting to increase my intake, its just the beginning.
fresh coconut water came highly recommended by her.
