I like water but I often forget to drink it. I am not sure why anyone would want to drink their calories.
Try adding lime/lemon or add cut up fruits like strawberries or oranges.
umm water doesn't have any calories..?

I don't think adding any juice leaves water as water anymore? I mean isn't the essence lost.

I think I might have read somewhere that pushing yourself to get started with drinking water....can help develop more of a taste for it. As someone said earlier....you just need to do it. I just got done working out and had some water....nothing else would quench my thirst more thoroughly.
If you're more into consuming sugary drinks....beware. It can lead to the development of many healthy problems down the road. Sugar accelerates aging (faster aging) and I've read that if feeds/fuels cancer cells.
Start with just a little bit.....maybe not even half a glass. Try that for a few days and work your way up. Water doesn't have a taste. I like to think that Allah made it so that water doesn't have a taste....so that people would be less picky and actually drink is since we can't survive without it.

And what “essence” of the water do you think will be lost by adding juice? Essence in terms of calories? Essence in terms of nutrients (minerals/vitamins)? Can depend upon how much juice you add…if you’re adding more juice and little water…then that defeats the purpose. It just sounds odd. ![]()
Keep in mind that there are other foods that you eat during the day that contain water…fruits, veggies, soup, etc.

Exactly what you said - Doesn't adding something to water defeat the purpose of water intake as is?
I mean its said water is good for skin, water is good for losing weight, water is good for a healthy body, water is good for what not! But when you add say lime to it, rooh afza to it, any fruit juice, squash etc. isn't the real purpose defeated?

I feel the same way. Flavored waters have helped me tremendously with that!
