well the mods have to put up with a lot...running GS is no child's play...and I truly appreciate what they do…but I think they should be a bit more firm with Islam banters…

well who says they didn't dealt with it? maybe they did consider it, but reckon that it is still within their boundaries as they have set them.

wrong yet again; i never said i don't like it or that these threads should be closed down.....i merely wanted to know why ppl carry on opening the same thread. whether i dislike these threads or not, is a different issue.

still if the issues arises again…and it is beyond my “boundaries”…I’d raise it….or the mod/admin should explicitly tell us what their boundaries are…like where they draw the line…

let me make it clear right here....islam or any other religion deserves respect...the reason i mentioned islam was because that was the topic at hand...if the thread would have been about somebody talking trash about Jesus or John the Baptist I would have mentioned Christianity...aur waisay bhee Islam gets bashed the most in the religion forum...

Many of the comments that have been raised here by members have been of concern, and quite rightly so. In the past there have been instances where a handful of members have got away with mocking and ridiculing others' faiths and beliefs. For some reason, and quite clearly, Islam has increasingly become a target for this kind of abuse and disrespect.
The rules that govern the Religion forum should apply accross all faiths and religions, providing that the fundamentals of the faith itself does not teach intolerance and disrespect for others, as most religions do not.
I would like to assure the members here that a policy has been drawn up for the Religion forum, Alhamdulillah, and shall insha'Allah be finalised shortly and put into place.
I regret a lot of the things that have been going on in the Religion forum, which i feel is partly due to my own weakness for not having written up the guidelines earlier in order to maintain forbearance and mutual respect in the forum. May Allah forgive me and may he guide us all to respect and tolerate each other.
And with this very appropriate message from the moderator of the Religion forum, lets wind up this discussion. May I remind all members that this is a Feedback forum, meant to provide feedback to the moderators and Administrator of this forum; and is not a place to continue your discussions on various topics. We have so many other forums where you folks can discuss this and other issues.
As Sentinel stated, any new policy or change in policies will be made available to the members in the usual manner.
