this whole thing falls equally on the men and the women. i don’t understand what makes a guy ask/be asked by a hijabi? i mean, don’t you have any sharam or respect? if you are the askee, why don’t you tell the girl to back off, and think about the piece of cloth she has on top of her head. and if you are the asker, plz kick your self in your nether regions a few times before asking. why screw up someone’s imaan by doing something like that?

Interesting post… initially I cracked up, “I wanna wear hijab so i can get a bf!!” and then I remembered I actually did that.

HOWEVER: hijabis have feelings too. A scarf does not build a barrier around your heart. It does not automatically put you on the path to Heaven. I used to think the wya you think as well–that I should improve on my religion, i.e., pray more often change my personality etc, and I still think that way somewhat but not as much as before. When you like someone–and I mean genuinely, not just to date around or have a physical relationship with, but something more serious, like rilly rilly rilly rilly rilly like him – why shouldn’t they tell the guy? Making out and sucking face in public is distasteful and gross, scarf or no scarf. Speaking from someone whos been there, done that.

Explain something to me oh wise sages, a hijab is worn for modesty correct? So if a hijaban has a boyfriend it is immodest? Correct? But if you don’t wear a hijab having a boyfriend is not immodest? For those challenged in comprehending english - does the fact that you do not wear a hijab make it ok to have a boyfriend?

Yeah I haven’t seen anyone saying anything about that. Just becoz I don’t wear a scarf then that means I’m exempt from following the same damn rules as her? That’s BS. But I guess some ppl think since u wear a scarf ur void of hormones, of feelings, if u dont’ wear a scarf ur a whore

…not because it is Islamically right, or because of those forwards that i get, telling me that how it makes a girl complete. Or even because I want to make a statment. I want to take it on, because it seems all the hijabis land a boyfriend.

Now I am single girl, and I would love the company of my very own boyfriend, who can dote on me, and make my laugh, and talk to me, and all the perks that those hijabis seem to have. So if the guys see that I am a hijabi, instead of picking the good looking, non-hijabi girl next to me, they might ask me to go out with them, regardless of my huliya.

having a boyfriend is wrong. getting to know some1 with the intention of marriage is not wrong in my opinion.

boyfriends = some1 u go out with/kiss/hold hands/do other things with…HENCE its haram.

getting to know some1 be4 marriage = only if its for a short period of time…until u have known each other well enough…parents should soon get involved…and apart from talking u should not do anything else…
