Question - why do you have to visit graveyard to remember our death ?
Whatever happened to the notion of - Dil main rehti hai tasveer-e-yaar (in this case, detah); jab gardan jhukaai, daikh li.

Also, remembering death every night before going to sleep is very dis-comforting and psychologically scary for me.
Just makes me feel so futile and insignificant.

seeing is believing…a picture is is worth a thousand words.

it has double purpose. you are visually reminded of your own death coming in no uncertain words and, at the same time while you are there, pray for the dead, those from your own family and those who are strangers to you. you get sawaab, they get reward and you also get a stern reminder.

well, sometimes you have to take a bitter pill to cure your ‘disease’ and fear of getting more sick and the possibility of dying. remembering death before sleeping could be your last chance to ask Allah’s forgiveness…this very well could be the last time you say a du’a. sleep is like preview of death.
