I don't thinks so Niks hurt that girl jinx because I talk to niks on phone and I can tell she is not that harsh lady as she is saying in thread. She might be straight forward but not that rude. Thats what I think but rest Niks and that girl knows.

no, u didnt do the right thing.
i know you are busy and you dont have time. but she needs a friend.
i understand sometimes friends-acquaintance get on your nerves but give them some time to explain their situation.

You are correct that I don't know either perhaps. Only Allah knows. However, my written response was based on a written incident. At the end of the day, it is the other girl who knows and Allah who knows all.

OK just to further clarify:
1. I have done what someone earlier suggested: Oh thank goodness it was nothing urgent, glad to know all is well.
2. There are about 5 other ladies she's been doing this with.
Personally, I think that yes, I was rude but I think she was very inconsiderate to call at odd times such as exactly when she knows I have to put my kids to sleep. She is well aware as I have told her earlier that I missed your call since I put my kids to bed at the time. Now if she really wants my friendship, she needs to respect my availability.
I agree it isn't nice being rude, but I think I gave her a year of trying to explain the conventional way. :D

Don't want to be too annoying, but when it comes to dealing with other people, Allah's fogiveness is with the condition that other person must have forgiven you. I understand that she may have been wrong but you will feel better if you explain her why you said what you said and say sorry but stand at your point.
There is a hadith I heard that one who is first in asking for forgiveness from others has higher level in Paradise than the one who forgives.

You are right about that. I did explain to her why she needs to calm down and reduce the frequency of her calls. She does not realize that people have lives and engagements and priorities. Also, she expects you to remember when she sleeps and wakes so I think it should work both ways if a relationship must flourish.

Some people don't have (much) friends, so in their quest to a friend, they tend to behave clingy, because apparantly she did like you and that is why she kept calling you.
And I can understand it can be a annoying, but there are more ways to deal with such a situation.
What we often forget is that people actually do understand if you explain them in a normal friendly tone (instead of getting all angry at them).
I hope she has enough self respect not to call you again.

You should have first calmed down before phoning her angry ... asked her with full trusting concern for her problem and then if she had no problem/question to ask then you react accordingly.
Now you will never know if she had a question or not ... because if she did have one the reaction may have scared or perturbed her from actually asking the question.

Brother Psyah, that is what I have been doing the past year....calming down and then calling her. It didn't work. This was my last resort. I was fed up of being an angel type. Couldn't handle it anymore.

I think she considerd you a friend and you were rude to her. She probably got the message but also a very tough life lesson regarding friendship.
Personally I would never speak like this with anyone . To be honest it was very rude ! May be she imagined you as someone who would help her .........khair I hope she has learned her lesson in a bitter way offcourse.
I think that you did not read 10 calls in 10 minutes part .. and I am witness to that - and it happens once or twice every week - and she does do that just with Niks but with 3 other people that Niks knows.
I am not sure if Niks was rude or that person is rude who does not respect people's family time and privacy.
and if you two dont think that she was rude, please send me your phone numbers and within 24 hours, you will learn how annoying it could get if person keeps calling you after every 5 mins.
