I was not a tomboy, I wanted my wedding in a certain way, however when the time came, I gave control to my family, I felt my vision was difficult to implement at that time, so I did let the family decide the entire event. The only that spoke me were my sandals. I was very stressed with work and was also enrolled in a two week grad class, so yeah it was for the best that I kept myself out of the whole arranging stuff.
I think it is normal to let go of the control as far as you are happy and excited about the person you are marrying.
