My favorite accents are: Chinese (my friends have done these numerous times in a drive thru and always get a laugh out of the people at Mickey Ds). I love speaking Ebonics with my friends...we are ghetto-fabulous and we know it. Desi accents are hilarious and never fail make me laugh. I do them all the time at the grocers...Ill call my sister across the aisles all fobby like and she comes running over SHUSHING me! Oh the way I torture that poor child, lol.
Cartoons...TMNT! X-MEN rocked because I had a humungo crush on Wolverine and never missed an episode of them. Loved Care Bears, Smurfs and The Chipminks! You know, we have a ritual...every year we go to see the lights in downtown Chicago and play the Chipmunks Christmas song when we're there the whole time. Its just too cute and my favorites were always Britany and Alvin. I just wanted those two to get married already!
I would loooooooooove to travel. My ideal destinations would be France, Italy, Greece, Brazil and Spain. Paris, the city of lights is also supposed to be the most romantic in the world...that would be soooooo amazing. I want to go to the Louvre and take a million pictures but not sure if thats allowed in there, heard it wasnt. At the end of each trip, I would be about 30 lbs heavier though! Paris would be a dream and the amount of shopping I would do might scare him so I plan on Fed-Exing everything home. Bloomwood style so its too late for me to return things once they're home. Kwim?
RV, I woudnt back down yet. You have a talent for writing and anyone can see that plain as day...make it happen! I know you can, you've got a lot of spunk in you. It takes a while for anyone to break into a writing career but once you're in...you're in. Have you tried writing for magazines or newspapers? You've got a great captivating style...you would do well. I would read you! :)
As for the wierd eating habits...let me tell you. I eat pizza with a fork and my family thinks Im crazy. I like eating cold pizza the next morning and Chinese/Thai food the next day is DELICIOUS! Why? How come its so much better the next day? Ive always wondered that. Leftovers are awesome...Im going to have some now. And guess what? I went and got some Nutella!!!!!!!!!!!!! That stuff is just YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And its going straight to my butt!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.
My wedding planning is coming along swiftly now. I booked my banquet hall for June 28th and now we've got to book the Mehndi place as well. Im going to send samples of the cards I like to his brother today to see if he can get those done for me asap becuz they need to be sent out. Im so stressed but at the same time oddly calm...like 2 different people almost. One day Im spazzing and the next day, Im okay. lol. Im going to finalize menu this weekend and make sure that is being managed by someone.
SHC and RV my wedding dress is being designed by me. Im doing everything from scratch and kind of nervous but Ive already paid for it so what is done is done! My lehnga is light on the bottom but the material is pure silk jamawar which is good with thread work and a small 2 inch kaam border on the bottom. Its got a spray of crystals and diamontes and pearls all over. Quality over quantity! My shirt is long and opens up like an asian tunic on the bottom. Its got four inches of kaam on either side of the buttons running down the middle and small motifs all over it. The dupatta is chiffon jamawar and has four inches of kaam consisting of embroidery, crystals, kutdana and diamontes on all four borders. It took me a while to get it right because my MIL sounds like she didnt lke it at all. But Ive made up my mind about one thing...Im not going to pile on loads of kaam on my wedding outfit just to make it look heavy and not pretty. I wont be happy wearing it if that happens. My mom was upset that Im not loading it on and said Im going to look like a guest but thats because she wants me to wear a regular lehnga with an 8 inch border. Thats too much for me and I cant do anything with it once the wedding is over. Kwim? So, I did what I wanted and sent my measurements off with the designer. Its done and she left today to start it.
I think Im going to get up and see what I can do with myself today...be productive and all. lol
