Re: i am infuriated, hes getting on my last thinly sliced nerves.
Before marriage your husband was a single man with a lot less responsibilities. Now he’s a married man with a full time job and a pregnant wife. Soon he’ll be responsibile for a child. He has a lot more stress in his life now compared to before marriage. Before marraige he could/did talk to your for “hours” at night b/c he didn’t have as many things on his mind. And I’m assuming that before marriage you two did not live together so he didn’t see you every single morning or had no idea what you were “up to” without talking to you at night. Now he lives with you, sees you every single night and every single morning.
As some of the other posters have mentioned…it’s a common man behavior. He comes home from work and he wants to relax. I’m assuming he’s talking to people at work all day…so when he comes home, he wants to “zone out” and not worry about anything for a little while. My SO is the same way. Once home from work, he watches TV or will go online and does not like to be disturned. That’s his “me” time. Your husband had plenty of “me” time before marriage and now anytime he’s home, you’re there too (again I’m assuming you didn’t live with him before marriage).
I’m not saying that what’s he doing is “right”…I’m just saying that he’s not hurting you on purpose.
You wrote on your post that you want someone to talk to you…I gather from some of the other replies that you’re home all day. Do you not have any friends that you can call or hang out with? Do you have any hobbies that keep you busy? Have you looked into joining some local groups…maybe some groups where you can meet other pregnant women?
