I took oath on Auguest 2nd 2007. It sure has been a long journey. From F1 to PT to H1 to Green Card to Citizenship - a never ending process indeed that started back in 1993. Not that I would give up my origin or Paki Citizenship or anything especially since we are allowed to have dual, but I still found myself a bit emotional and teary on the day of oath.
seriously though, how do you think your lives are going to be impacted now you guys are american citizens? do you have any specific plans and goals now, or is it not going to change your life much?
We have jobs for both of you in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some bearded people in those countries need some american citizens on urgent basis. No resume required.
US citizenship is one milestone of the long-term plan, I am thankful to God for helping me achieve this milestone, so to answer your question Queer, the plan remains same :)
