MKD, we can't blame the double-standard on men. The fact is that too many women prefer to stay in bad situations with a man than to be on their own. Sure none of these decisions are easy to make, but until women take responsibility for making incredibly poor and irresponsible choices about their own lives, there will never be progress.
Too many women prefer the role of dependent, victim or martyr to the role of rebel, decision-maker, or independent trailblazer. And the rest of the women will create gossip and paranoia until the only "right" decision seems to be sacrificing your life to some pathetic loser out of guilt or emotional blackmail (with rhetoric about children and family honor and all that crap).
It's the 21st century. You choose not to stand up for yourself, then I have no sympathy.
You are responsible for your own actions or inactions as the case maybe. If you are dumb enough to stay with a man or woman who cheats on you, you deserve everything you get. If you don't have the self-confidence or the ability to stand up for yourself, you deserve to be walked over.

Thats perfectly true.... seems so pathetic when some girls on GS are always trying to find some angle to pin everything on the guy even if the matter under consideration is that the wife cheated. Seems like some people are so insecure that they wouldn't admit the reality even if tha matter being discussed is of some xyz couple.... skeletons in the cupboard I'd say !!
Its a reality in life, and this does not necessarily only affect the likes of our community, girls will be referred to as a slag, and the guy as a stud.
What does'nt help is that our people will never let the girl forget, and to be frank, its the women in our society that are the worst at reminding them. (MIL, SIL)
What comes round goes round, men behaving like this, only then look at thier own future generations to see it being played in front of their own eyes, when some one elses brother/son is doing to their daughter what they did to someone elses years back.
We should not be discussing the aftereffects of either gender cheating.. We should be discussing solutions to tackle this evil. If we just debate on these petty issues (o how men get away with it blah blah blah) we are no different than the jahil man down the road. Why go down to his level when you can come up and look for solutions. Guide these people. Show them what's right and wrong and why it is right/wrong.
