I need to rant about this to someone before i go crazy.
Now before I piss anyone off or get accused of being racist/offensive towards muslims, I am a muslim myself, and this is not an attack on Islam.
I just want to know, or hear what people have to say on the matter.
I’ve recently met a lot of people, some asian, some white, different castes/religion etc etc but one thing i’ve noticed in many of the muslims, is this air of hypocrisy. where they think its okay to judge others on the way they live their lives when they themselves are breaking so many of the fundamental rules of Islam.
For example, I know a muslim girl who is married with 3 kids. Out of respect for her husband she recently started wearing the hijaab for university, and feels its okay to preach to those who do not wear the hijaab but then can go to Mcdonalds and eat chicken which she knows is not halal.
Another example, a boy who thinks he is a very good muslim, he thinks its okay to go around and judge other people for not knowing as much as he does about Islam, infact he sees no harm in calling them ‘bad’ muslims, but thinks its okay to have a realtionship beofre marriage, hiding it from his parents, lying to them/going against their wishes.
Why can’t people live their own lives the way they want, and let others do the same. Why is there so much hypocrisy? That itself is such a big sin.
He he he..........its a good thing there is this forum....
thats exactly what happens..... Some people just take in some of the things which they think are for their convenienve and ignore the other because we dont feel it.
:D..hope you felt better now...see ya bro
Life is too short. Our role models sacrificed every breath, every second, every drop of their blood in bringing a positive change in not only the Muslim Ummah but in the whole humanity. It is not a good idea to waste our thoughts and energy in worrying about negative attitude of people, for whom we won't be held answerable. We would only be asked of how did we utilize the wisdom Allah (swt) blessed us with, in humbly presenting ourselves as an example by encouraging good and discouraging bad.
Negative thoughts always lead to frustration and thus deteriorate our motivation. We should believe in the saying, *" I would plant 100 thousand trees today even if I am told that the whole world would be destroyed tomorrow"
*
If we are not like those people (mentioned in the first post) then that is not even 1 % of our own quality, but 100% blessings of Allah (swt) upon us. If Allah (swt) has blessed you with wisdom to truly understand Islam and become a good Muslim, then he has also held you responsible to use that wisdom for politely (without offence) correcting those who are ignorantly giving a bad image to Islam, instead of wasting time in passing judgments.
**
The price of Allah's (swt) blessings upon us is:
=
Our sincere efforts (to our level best) to bring a positive change without focusing on negatives.**
Well, i had a similar debate about similar issue in another thread with someone - because I had apparently critized a Muslim for eating haraam chicken tacos. I agree with you. However we are all human and we are liable for sin, but if you can easily avoid sin, a sin such as eating a haraam chicken burger, then of course you should do all you can to avoid it. I wouldnt let my hunger overshadow my belief as a Muslim - so if i am hungry i would look for a halal place, or eat veggie. Not having halal foods easily available is not a good enough excuse to eat haraam. Vegetarian. There are many non-muslims who are veggie, hence availability of veggie is good. I understand you. We can only strive to learn from our past mistakes and obstain from committing same sin later on and that way we can become better Muslims. I also dont like seeing hijaabi's eating haraam or smoking, because its a contradiction. In London especially in East London, many hijaabis also wear tight revealing clothes, that are figure hugging. They only do it for fashion, not Islam. They do it so their mommy's can say "Oh, my daugter is a hijaabi, she is good, she will never hang around the wrong crowd at school and start smoking and drinking" - in fact, these girls wear the hijaab, just so they can go and do these things and their mommy's wont question their "good little hijaabi", even if other parents do talk.
For example, I know a muslim girl who is married with 3 kids. Out of respect for her husband she recently started wearing the hijaab for university, and feels its okay to preach to those who do not wear the hijaab but then can go to Mcdonalds and eat chicken which she knows is not halal.
I dont call it hypocrisy, cause it means that a muslim is only allowed to promote a good act if he/she is commiting othrwise zero sin and is a pure momin..
if that would be the case then other than Nabi and Rasools, no one would be allowed to preach anything about Islam
SO HOW WOULD YOU EXPLAIN A GIRL WEARING HEAVY MAKEUP, WITH HEAVY PERFUME AND THEIR HIJAAB STAMPED WITH 'GUCCI' AND TIGHT CLOTHING THAT IS FIGURE REVEALING..... IS THAT NOT FASHION??? You dimwat.
^^ Are you for real bunnyhoney!? I feel sorry for people who think like you. I really do.
well you know we have no right to judge anyones faith or believe or how gud of a muslim they are. NOONE DOES. if shes wearing tight clothes let her ....she'll learn by time and experience ..and who knowz how gud of a muslilm she is from in side. to me i think noone is a gud muslim..sorry but my thinking, cud be wrong as well. we all make some kind of a sin in our life..regularly..irragullarly, knowingly or unknowingly...maybe u eating a haram chicken taco cuz u cnt resist makes Allah more unhappy then a person who casually drinks alcohol? who knows we are noone to say DAT SIN IS BIGGER SIN DEN DAT SIN. WE JUS CNT JUDGE AS WE OURSELF DONT KNO. ALL DAT MATTERS IN DAT WE KEEP ASKING ALLAH FOR FORGIVENESS FOR OUR KNOWINGLY AND UNKNOWINGLY DONE SINS. we are a sinful and shameful nation. also let me include dis as my grandpa used to say " ALLAH HO TUMHARI KISI BHI WAQT KOI BHI BAAT PASAND A SAKTI HAI. KIA PATA WO TUMHARAY SARAI GUNAH OS AIK ACHAI KI WAJAH SEY MAAF KER DAI. BAAS NIAT SAAF HONI CHAHIYE BAKI SAAB PHIR KHUD HI HO JATA HAI"
SO LIVE AND LET LIVE. IF SOMEONE IS WRONG , DEY PROBABLY KNO THEIRSELF WAT THEY R DOING, IF DEY DOTN DEY WILL LEARN BY TIME . WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES , SO DONT MAKE IT A ISSUE , A TRUE FORGIVENESS CAN CLEAR ALL ACCOUNTS.
