Listen, not the entire world is familiar with every movie of bollywood. So, when I looked at his name, I made no connection to bollywood. So, it's all in our perceptions - you could have taken it as what it is or you could have started associating it with bollywood. You did the latter. So keep his character/intentions out of your perceptions.
Aside from that I agree with you wholeheartedly.
