@AA- I saw those pics of the pink dupatta-its mind-blowing!! the black border on it looks it actually looks sooo sabyasachi inspired!! the thin border plus the delicate creeper is soo elegant, something we don't get to see allways on a KD!! thanks for the pics!!

@Sweet_LiL_Hunnie](http://www.paklinks.com/gs/members/sweet_lil_hunnie.html) --the beads i.e ‘aveze’ can be peals, rubies, emerald, saphires and even those blue coloured stone-can’t recollect what u call them at this moment…You see emeralds mostly simply because it goes better with pearls then rubies, I don’t think there’s any other reason behind this..

hey amazingaquarian.. how have u been, my wedding was good alhamdulilah!
i soooo want to see the KD sabyasachi inspired. will u post again for me :)

btw my KD was also red and purple. and it looked lovely. will post pics soon. my mil made it by a designer in banjara hills.. :)

the choker with emeralds is a hyderabadi jarao lachha. its one of those classic, heirloom pieces of jewellery, like a saat lara. i wore one at my wedding too- my nani gave it to my mom for her wedding who passed it down to me for mine.

since the hyderabai khada dupatta is usually worn by hyderabadi brides i guess they also wear the hyderabadi jarao lachha to match :slight_smile:

^ the first three aren't khara dupatta's though- they've just worn the dupatta's like that, which actually is a great idea for if you want a different look when wearing a regular outfit.

anyone can wear it lol. its not just for hyderabadi's.
dress and jewellery is as shown many times in this thread- look back from page 1, you'll see a very clear trend.

The hand ornament above is caled a bayeen and its not a traditional hyderabadi zewar, instead we in hyderabad wear co-ordinated and specially made set of lac bangles called ‘masale ka joda’- only the bride wears this, others wear ‘lac ka joda’, both are simply called ‘joda’. The lac bangles are custom made according to the colour of the khada dupatta or dress and look something like this, though I must confess these pics are of some cheap jodas :disgust:. There is a wide variety of jodas because most of them are custom made, The beautifull ones are just heavenly and to-die for!! :slight_smile:

The seven stranded necklace is traditionally hyderabadi and its called a satlada but its not like the pic you have posted,its something like this..
