Firstly, look at the bright side…no one else (ie. your MIL!) had an issue with you going out on the road! This is a complete opposite of what you told us befoer which was that you were not allowed to go outside on your own. So the fact that your MIL didn’t throw a fit over you going outside onto the road is a big positive.
Secondly, next time you want to take a walk…do it during the daytime. I live in a very hot/humid city too so I understand the weather concern. So until the weather cools down…take your walks in the morning…between 8-11 a.m. Plus I imagine at that time, you husband is just beginning his day at work so the chances of him seeing you is slim to none.
