But on a serious note...It would be nice if they had a JOB!! And they had a sense of humor! And they didn't fool around before getting hitched...cause if I can wait...then you better have waited as well!! (eventhough...I don't know how a girl can tell that...but then that brings the whole trust issue into place...man there's a lot of factors!
You know it depends on women what they want to tell us. ![]()

Re: Husband Material
Well-groomed. Even if you look like the snot of Godzilla, you should still keep yourself clean and well maintained. Meaning, take daily showers (I know, you'd think they'd know this), wear cologne, wear clothes that look good on YOU, work out, keep your nails clean and your toenails clean, etc.
Educated. This shouldn't be hard, but you'd be surprised how many Pakistani boys in America are NOT going to college at all. There are loads. And then they expect some hoor pari with a huge inheritance. Who raises boys to be idiots like that? Seriously? Desi's defy common sense sometimes. At least a bachelors. Comon!
Caring/Sensitive: No one likes a hard-arse. No girl wants to come home to a guy who is a tough nut to crack. Be open with her, tell her how you feel - it's totally ok to tell her you love her once in a while. Most of the desi uncles here walk around uptight, and it clearly looks like they barely exchange any affectionate conversation with their poor wives. It's unhealthy. Treat your wife nicely. Treat her like you'd want your damaad treating your daughter. That's not difficult. You can show you have a caring personality through your acts. The guy who volunteers, the guy who does charity work, the guy who spends time with his family, the guy who treats the women in his family with respect - all show you are a caring person. Don't think girls are not observing how you interact with women. There are LOTS of uptight pseudo-religious boys who will NEVER speak to a girl. For me, that's a turn-off. Means you're not really human enough for me. You gotta be able to speak normally to people and make people feel comfortable, and if you can't do that, you won't be able to do that with me.
Healthy Hobbies: If it's watching football, then fine. You gotta have something healthy you do for fun beyond namaaz and religious activities. It scares me when guys don't do anything other than religious activities - means the guy is imbalanced upstairs. The more physical the activity, the better for your health. Regardless, I don't care if it's being part of your college's glee club - you should have something you enjoy doing.
Indepdendence: Big turn off if you're dependent on your parents. You should be living away from your parents if you're in the West. It's totally do-able. If you're in Pakistan, I understand the economics of the country drives people to stay with parents. But if you're a college educated kid in America, you should have your own place. If you're staying with parents to save money, it's one thing. If your plan is to always stay with parents, then that is a major turn-off. You need at least some years of your young adulthood away from parents. Then later on, when they get older and sick and need to stay with someone, it's different. But if your parents are healthy and independent, then so should you be.

LOL why m i not surprised
WHY would you even consider such a guy! ![]()
Re: Husband Material
Well, in other words, women want a complete package. From looks to personality, big mansions, educated, lovely (MILs, BILs, SILs, FILs & God knows what else), nice sense of humour and the list goes on & on…
Girls and their ‘nakhree’ never seem to end.![]()
