fair enough. Personally speaking, i find that the characteristics I’m looking for - professionally educated, good family background etc - i find that pool to be much larger in pk.

Yep, obviously the total population is higher so the number of professionally educated and good family background is higher.
Sometimes when people say that, it comes off as if the ratio of professionally educated and good family background to rest of the population is larger in Pakistan than overseas. Which is untrue.
