If you remember the hurricane with 90 mph in June-July 1968 in Karachi when 19" of rain fall in three days. With in hours, the rain water vanished from most of Karachi as though there was no rain. However there were few deaths due to electrocution and roofs flying over people.

The Karachi is known as a mega city as it faces so many problems and govt never try to solve the problems. There are several International NGOs in Pakistan highlighting the major issues of Karachi. Now the whole Karachi is drowned in Rain and this city sees the ignorance of provincial and city government.

Drainage system was made and maintained in mustafa kamal’s time unlike now. Forget this complex system, PPP can’t even pick up garbage in karachi.
But you would never say anything bad about PPP / bhutto gods since, after all, he gave jiyalas like you jobs in sindh. I still remember how my dad had to write speeches, do his boss’s homework and even sign stuff on his behalf because the quota wala was complete anghoota chaap. You can’t blame punjabis for that. Bhutta destroyed the Pakistan that was a model for taiwan and south korea so much so that businessmen refused to takeover their old companies when zia came to power. A master stroke that destroyed Pakistan. Lets not forget that he also banned qadyanis as you wholly blame zia for religious extremism.
This is the difference between Pakistan and singapore, taiwan and south korea where true leaders made those countries into the asian tigers.

Since you edit your post regarding your father being helping his officer who was appointed on quota system. I had a question, was he chparaasi to that person?

I was appointed during Zia-ul-Haq’s regime after qualifying FPSC formerly known as CSS exam. And yes I was appointed under Sindh Urban quota because I belonged to Karachi. Any problem?

Sure, you passed CSS exam and then got selected on 1% karachi quota. If it is true then chullo bhar paani may marro for what PPP has always done to karachi. It is something when MQM looks good in comparison to them.

No you have not. You have only shifted blame on others, you have not addressed no-maintenance of rain-drainage by PPP. For last 3-4 years PPP has completely blocked all budget meant for up-keep of the city. Garbage is not being picked up, maintenance is non-existent that is why even 2" of rain is a disaster for the city.
