Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

I saw this all over international media and it’s a heartwarming article showing unity.

Pakistani Christians Dressed As Santa Claus Protest Taliban

Hundreds Of Pakistani Santas Marched In Defiance Of The Taliban

Members of Karachi’s Christian community transformed their Yuletide celebrations into a remembrance for the schoolchildren murdered last week.

Just five days after the massacre, Pakistani Christians were not going to let the Taliban have the last word. Dressed in Santa Claus outfits and holding signs that read “United we stand in grief and sorrow,” dozens gathered in Karachi, Pakistan to protest the attack.

What had been a previously planned peace walk was instead transformed into an expression of solidarity, calling on all of Pakistan to rally against the Taliban.

The result: an estimated 800 Santas Claus marching together, calling for unity between Pakistan’s Christian and Muslim communities.

“We had planned to decorate our entire route with stars and bells,” Anneil John, one of those present, told Pakistan’s Express Tribune](http://tribune.com.pk/story/810360/united-in-grief-santa-claus-walks-in-solidarity-with-peshawar-school-victims/). “But we have toned down our festivities because of the Peshawar massacre.”

The outpouring of unity in the aftermath of the attack — in a country where as recently as last month a Christian couple was lynched — has been described as “unprecedented.”

In my dream some one said "wake up, there is good news waiting for you at GS"
I woke up and saw this thread. :D

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

So being Santa has lost its direction in 2014.

Instead of Christianity or their religious/traditional beliefs, they will do it for terrorists? :smack:

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

Thanks Shukriya. For your comment I think Santa will get you this present. It is also has word Monk.

A MONK AND HIS BROTHER

It is part of this series. 29 breathtaking photographs of the human race | The Mind Unleashed

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

Before 2014 which direction was Santa going in from north pole-east, south, north, the WEST

I don’t know is Santa is related to traditional Christian beliefs. This march was planned from before but now they are dedicating it to Peshawar and as a show of unity rather than just celebrating. Not really appropriate to just celebrate when all this has happened.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

one uncle applying maska to another uncle.............allah khaair karay!

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

When I said 'direction' it was not meant to be direction on a compass.

You should now answer what you meant by shouting WEST?

Why did you capitalize WEST?

It means that.........you are unqualified to make this thread altogether.

Prove that this march was from before.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

I capitalised it because from what i read on another thread in general you have a fondness for the word. So it was to highlight it rather than to shout it out. Yes great way to silence someone. Try to guess my intentions through the font/upper/lower case i use. Maybe when i wrote "a monk and his brother" as capitals from an article it was shouting too.

WHen i said before..i mention how in the article it says they had organised this march from before dec 16th but toned the celebrations down post dec 16th.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

You capitalized a word out of a sentence in the end in your post, but not the whole sentence like you gave the example of Monk sentence.

Not going to dwell on it. Let this go. You still in essence avoided the first part that direction word which I used, did not mean compass direction and that is good enough.

*The event belongs to Pakistan and you are an Indian. So stop poking your nose in Pakistani matters.

Let me make it clear to you here:

Your post is one of the several consistent posts you have written which show **your political and winning the minds of hearts of Pakistanis in general but it ain't working!!!

**Just because you can fool some,.. does not mean everyone will fall for your silly long posts.

Snap out of it. Please stop fooling yourself and others.

There are no active measures Indians have played so far to win the hearts or minds of Pakistanis or Pakistan besides employing you to post long statements and pictures.

All your long posts are ridiculous in this matter unless India shows sincere acts towards Pakistanis in general by its action and change its hateful policies against Pakistan.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

Like i said it was to highlight it. Like the sentence in response to Monk was highlighting the picture was in capitals and bold. No need to take capital letters out of context because you don't like the thread.

I don't know what direction you are talking about and I am not a historian in the history of Santa Claus to know about which direction it is going in.

I don't remember every saying that I am aiming . I express my views like any other member.

Snap out of being myself. That's not going to work. :)

Did I mention that i am winning the" minds of hearts of Pakistanis in general"? These are your thoughts and assumptions. I am mentioning my views and if people like it then those are their views. Even if it was my intention I see nothing wrong with it. Also, from GS I have made friends who i consider my brother and sister living in Pakistan. I have chatted with this Pakistani brother on GS who is religious, conservatively and traditionally dressed yet he has no issues considering me his sister. Neither is he a typical liberal that people like you try to put down as being "aman ki asha" types because they don't mind Indians. I also have a Pakistani sister who i have also chatted to and who I may potentially meet one day. No issues. Out of GS i have plenty of Pakistani friends who i consider as family both online and offline.

Let me also please make this clear to you too. I have not stated anywhere that I am winning minds and hearts of Pakistanis in general..and obviously not something i would say to people with a rigid mindset such as yourself.

That is hilarious if you think I am being employed. Sounds like a fun job posting pictures and statements. Not sure why you think I am representing an organisation that is meant to put active measures in place. If you dislike my long posts you can always ignore or avoid them. How is this post anything to do with Indians/India or my supposed intentions?

I don't recall mentioning that I am Indian or mentioning India in this thread. Kind of strange you would make this an issue in this thread as well when this is about the Pakistani Christian community of Karachi. This thread could very well have been posted by any other member, yet my background makes this an issue how?

Hope you have a lovely day aur Allah(SWT)) aap ko har khushi aur kamyabi de.

I posted this event because no one else had and today is a relevant time for the thread. There have been plenty of other threads by Indians on Pakistani topics and Pakistanis on Indian topics. No one has had any issue. Neither most of the members or the moderators.

Obviously, as a Pakistani forum most issues will be related to Pakistan whether showbiz, politics, general thread, GS cafe etc but nowhere in the rules it states that non-Pakistanis cannot post on Pakistani matters. Or Indians are not allowed to comment. If you have any concerns about this you can raise with the moderators. However, they are more broad minded than you so I don't think they will ban Indian members from posting on Pakistani matters or ban their presence.
:)

No one is fooling anyone. Like i said if you don't want to read my long comments you can just ignore them.

Hope you have a lovely day aur Allah(SWT)) aap ko har khushi aur kamyabi de. If my long comments and my threads are bothering you please feel free to not reply/ignore them.
