Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

Nice to see too many Santa Clauses coming to town

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

Defiance of terrorists by being Santa? No one has said a Christian cannot be Christian in Pakistan.

What I meant was that the reason is wrongfully displaced.

No one says they cannot wear an attire of being Santa, but their portrayal and intention is for wrong reason.

These people marching as Santa are idiots if that is what their reason is.

I would criticize a Sikh wearing Turban, a Muslim woman wearing burqa/hijab just to defy French Law.

Similarly I have criticized so called liberals or femanazis walking naked on the street just to show their 'freedom'.

BTW:
The terrorists have actually killed more Muslims than non-Muslims/Christians.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

ahem... jis mulk mein shia hona, sunni hona, barelvi hona, deobandi hona, ahmedi hona, etc aap ko wajib-ul-qatal bana sakta hai, wahan christian hona tau ... ahem...

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

That is why I wrote more Muslims were killed by terrorists.

The news of religious scholars dying somehow gets not much coverage.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

You seem like a very tolerant person.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

Diwana saheb, I’m not clear on what you are objecting to. But it is simply a show of unity and solidarity.

Santa Claus symbolizes the (positive) spirit of christmas to many, hence they are dressed as santa.

Or perhaps you are objecting to OP being Indian? Hateful policies exist on both side of the border. It doesn’t matter who started it. It just needs to end, nothing good comes out of it.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

My post(s) make it very clear what I objected and what I did not.

The thread title says it's about 'defiance' and that is wrong reason.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

Can't protest against savagery during christmas time, or can't protest against savagery dressed as santa?

Or can't start threads on protests against savagery, as an Indian?

Please clarify.

Re: Hundreds of Pakistani Santas march in defiance of Taliban

Thanks Kakaballi, Beeb and Balthier for understanding my intentions. The word “defiance” was part of the article.
I also never knew that wearing Santa Claus clothes was a sign of religiousness in Christian people. So i guess redder the clothes of the Santa and whiter/longer the beard the more religious Christian they are?

I did not even mention that I am Indian and neither my name gives it away.

No worries guys. All types exist everywhere. I know majority of Pakistanis do not think like this.

Jibran for me is the bravest and most awesome person on subcontinent at moment. Apparently the Lal Masjid guys were accusing him of celebrating Hindu festivals. I don’t think celebrating by throwing colours means you are saying you believe a religion. Not saying people should take part in these non-Muslim festivals but showing that there is variety of thinking.

anyway he responded like this.

Lal Masjid isn’t making any secret revelations abt me celebrating Holi. I love my Hindu friends & will celebrate Holi

He has long history of activism on these issues.

Lot of Pakistanis/Indians travel to each others countries for events/festivals like this Global Youth Peace Fest in 2015 http://www.peacefestindia.in/partners.html
