-HUMSAFAR-

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Actually there are is certain imp. things that need to take place (below everything is not necessarily in proper order)

1) Asher needs to find out the truth from Khizr and servant staff and confront his evil mother, Farida.

2) Asher needs to realize that it was hell for Khirad to raise Hareem (esp. since she has medical issues) as a single mother
3) Hareem nees to get well and have her open heart surgery
4) Asher needs to apologize to Khirad for being an idiot blinded by jealousy and rage
5) Khirad heart needs to melt and forgive Asher
6) Both Asher, Khirad, and Hareem need to live happily ever after. Actually it would nice to show that they eventually have another child and live happily ever after........

re: -HUMSAFAR-

MZZB was about a modern and liberal girl among orthodox and conservative family members. The reaction you saw was of an uncivilized family. In Humsafar you have an elite, educated family. Thus Khirad was not treated in a similar way.

I hear many people saying that the stories of Humsafar and Meri Zaat Zara-e-Benishan are similar. I disagree. Reasons are given below:

1) Humsafar is about husband wife relationship and class-culture. MZZB is about religious hypocrisy and the misuse of Holy Quran to pass verdict and ruin people's lives.

2) Humsafar is mainly a love story. MZZB is about the problems women face in our society and what they have to go through if they are bold (beating, false accusation, forced marriage, marital rape, etc)

3) Humsafar has younger and newer actors. MZZB has respectable and seasoned actors.

There in only one similarity: MIL accuses the heroine of being unfaithful and separates the leads. But on the whole the stories are very different.

Plus, I am surprised that people are making fun of Samia Mumtaz and Faisal Qureshi and comparing them to Mahira and Fawad. That is UNFAIR!!

Samia and Faisal are seasoned and experienced actors. They have contributed immensely to the Pakistan TV industry. Fawad and Mahira are newcomers and have to learn a lot. We should learn to respect our senior actors.

Also, the female lead in MZZB was not weak. She was strong.

She went against her elders to attend university. She refused to wear burqa. When Arfeen asked her marry him again, she refused as it was against her self-respect. She was strong from beginning to the end.

MZZB was a very strong story.

Humsafar is good. But we should respect our senior actors and their praiseworthy work.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

re: -HUMSAFAR-

babar jawed is the worse director of pakistan...dramay ka us ne satiya naas kar diya.....he streteched it insanely and made it way to melloooo!!! all his dramas are the same.......

re: -HUMSAFAR-

@Rida - I wasn't comparing it to MZZB. I was just saying how a lot of people would. Just like they are comparing it with QeT as well which again had a completely different story.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

there are only 5 epiodes left Bebo Khala - audience ko enjoy karnay do Sara, Farida, and Khizer ki pitaayee ;-)

I disagree with the doormat comment. If Khirad was a doormat, we would have seen her crying her eyes out at Asher's insults. There are enough of those characters floating on the tv screen. She is extremely reluctant to go to Asher's house but goes because of her daughter only. Sometimes silence is Golden. She doesn't want to stoop to his level and be obnoxious to him because we know she's not built that way. Once her daughter is well, she wants to leave Asher's house asap. You can call her selfish because of her child but not someone begging for Asher's attention or love.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^ Ditto! It requires a lot of self-control to be the way Khirad is acting, it's not easy to ignore especially when one is constantly being put down by others. I don't see her acting like a doormat, rather a classy woman who knows what to say and how to say it.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Khirad is keeping her daughter's well being over and above her self respect. She is literally willing to compromise on and sacrifice everything for her daughter.

Ashar should get a nice hard chapaair once he gets to know the truth for putting his wife and daughter through so much.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

totally agreee! wish people would stop comparing it to other dramas and think that khirad is gonna go running back to her hubby

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I agree. Babar Jawed did not do justice to the story. But the story by Umera Ahmed was very strong. A woman who stands up to her hypocritical elders, attends university and refuses to wear the burqa. And when the hero asks her to come back into his life, she flatly refuses. Samia, Faisal, Khayam and Samina were very good. I watched the show for the dialogues by Umera and the wonderful acting. But Babar could have done better. However, it wasn't too melo. That is a sad reality of how women are treated in our society. And truth is bitter.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Its like any other saas bahu, saas turns bad or is bad and or girl gets arranged marriage and there is another girl who wants the man. The acting in this drama is what makes it. Or else there is nothing new to the script... Great time pass indeed.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

LOL funny :hehe:

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Agree with the post on mzzb, there's no comparison.
