I think the story is following its natural progression. And even though some parts may seem unrealistic (how can she not find a way to contact him) but the fact remains that, that's how the writer intended the story to be. And that's how it seems to make sense.
Yes, she could have emailed him, as many posters have suggested. But that's not how writer wanted it to be. Besides, it's not like he cannot delete emails, or smses without reading them. After all, he hates her at this point in time. And will do everything to avoid contact with him. About not showing up at the office, that makes sense to me. If he isn't even willing to entertain her phone calls, why must she go and create a scene in his office, and be embarassed in front of so many people in his office. Misunderstandings, however small, can easily lead married couples to resent each other to the point of breaking off all contact. So what's happening in this drama is not all that unrealistic or out of the ordinary.
At this point I think that if Khirad were to somehow contact Ashar and convince him of her innocence then that would be a lame twist to the drama. Fiction is not reality, and that's how it should be taken. To try to find 'realistic' elements in what is essentially a piece of imagination is somewhat absurd. This is exactly the point of imagination, you can take as many liberties as you want!

also shouldnt he try to contact her since hes just believing his mother and not even hearing her side of the story...why shud she be the only one trying to prove her innocence...
she had so many chances to tell him she was preggers but she didnt because she wanted to tell him face to face and see his reaction...
maybe thats what she still wants lol

Okay even if you got with the existing communication loopholes, I still don't understand one thing that at the begining of the episode, he says he'll kill her if she ever comes in front of him yet he shows no real emotions when he actually hears her voice? The way he talked to her was more like a guy telling off an annoying stalker than a betrayed, distraught and angry husband confronting his wife. The whole 'tum mere liye mar chuki ho' stunt should've been done at the very first call not when she crying with labour pains...thats just too filmy.

@Mona great letter......I have one question.....does Asher actually ever divorce Khirad? For 4 years she stays with Batool Khala and her daughter? Does the novel show anything about her struggles as a single mom? or does it fastforward 4 years when she discovers she has a daughter with a hole in her heart?
