-HUMSAFAR-

re: -HUMSAFAR-

loved the scenes today!!!

the sar derd wala scene, when she wears tht green dress and hes teasing her in the car
Asher looked so handsome in that grey shirt. and mA the barish wala scene! … boring shoher!! heheheh!

well done Sarmad! you are a gem and so are your actors! :k:

no doubt khizr is so annoying! who would tolerate him!??? he talks so much man!
Im Glad Sarah is not giving him any attention!

like somone said here! ideal husbands are possessive!! so i dont think Asher is overreacting! …
its basically, khizr behaviour which is provoking him to act this way. otherwise, our Asher is not a meanieeeeee:blush:

re: -HUMSAFAR-

How do I do that?

re: -HUMSAFAR-

beautiful analysis Sehar. I'll have to get my husband's opinion after he watches the episode if Asher's reaction is justified. To me so far, it is not. But I'm thinking as a woman :)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Oh my I hate Khizar…it is not only the role…it is his personality. At the table when he was going on and on about how Khirad is a great cook,he looked like a bhindi himslef…:snooty:
(no offense to bhindis)…!!..His role aside,he is a weird looking guy with a weird voice.

Attiqa Odho was as ‘sapa-at’ as always…‘No no dont call zarina’…then she calls Zarina and tells her to sit…how did she know she was standing…??..:hmmm:
That accident scene and blood donating thing was boring and senseless…but I guess they will be suing it as an excuse later on.So I knew I had to bear with it.

I loved the scenes between Ashar and Khirad,as always.I agree with the posters here that he is after all a human and is not liking whatever is going on,but for a person like him who was shown to be so mature and sensible and responsible, why is he feeling that way..especially with Khirad. That Khizar character is crossing its limits and Asher sees that, but why does he keep on getting annoyed with the wife he loves so much…??..Btw he looks no good when he is starting to get mad…:(…like in the scene when Khirad tells him that she came home from university with Khizar.

I loved the scene when she tells him that she is sorry and he changes his tie.And as someone said, this was actually the first time she was so expressive with him…but actually he should have been the one apologizing to her…!

I guess we have ran out of all the lovey dovey scenes now…:frowning:

re: -HUMSAFAR-

This was not the only scene where we were hoping or wishing they would move a lil bit closer…:stuck_out_tongue:

(I can’t believe I just wrote that..!)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^hahahah, but SO true

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^ LOL ladies there are some people who are getting upset as to why they are even holding hands!

I had to watch the rain scene and the green dress scene again. The rain scene dialogues were actually very funny and cute. In this episode, I felt Mahira really became Khirad. Her performance was much more natural where she holds the stick to Asher and scoldingly tells him, aap mere saath baarish mein bheege gai, and also in the car scene where Asher is about to reverse the car and she sits back and says something like ok let's go (haha!) BTW the background music during the rain scene really captured the mood of that scene.

I also have to commend Shehzad Kashmiri for the lighting in their bedroom. It is just so well done even though the scenes and the setup I am sure is very simple but the whole white on white theme just makes those scenes so pure and magical. It really adds another layer to the goings-on.

I am looking forward to their "tense" scenes too ironically. It would be great to see their "chemistry" from that angle after seeing them in love. I hope they are able to capture the layers of their 'new' relationship where anger and hatred are on surface and their love is buried somewhere underneath.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I am hating Khizar so much ... :-@ - he should back off from Khird and Ashar's love life.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

i agree wth u his character n accent r annoying

one more thing jab khird asher se naraz hoti hai tu woh bed pe parh rahi hoti hai n subah woh kehti hai k mei uth k ap k pas a gai thi jab k woh already uss k pass thi bc in noval woh study table pe parh rahi hoti hai n uth k bed pe chali jati hai sometimes they confuse it n i think they r showing all misunderstanding bit abruptly ek dum se how can be asher jealous bus ab rona dhona start honay vala hai but i m also waiting 2 c how they l act in intense scene till now they r able 2 potray romance very well lets c whether they l b able 2 show hatred or not

n ofcourse i m waiting 4 car scene in which asher is crying while driving he looks so cuteeeeeeee there

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I can't watch this anymore :( seems so unnecessary. I'll watch it only if it has a happy ending. Please PM me somebody.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

well my perception is that I believe Ashar is not acting sensible. How would Khirad know that he is being sensitive because of his own family member? Thats what even Ashars mom says to Khizar 'kay yeah tou tumhara apna hi ghar hai, and feel like home'... He just has to TELL HER ABOUT IT! or probably Ashars waiting for it to come in her dreams. If he is extra-possessive he should have accompained her to the function as well. Ashars mood swing is so spontaneous and abrupt that Khirad will has no idea how to deal. And Khizar not seeking attention from his juliet has become a desperate attention seeker.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

plz check the spoiler thread :)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Yes they just wanted to hilight same blood groups of Khirad and Khizar (the colonial cousins).

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I don't know why Ashar is not telling Khirad that he doesn't like Khizar. Misunderstandings develop when you are not open to your spouse, they both have big egos.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I don't think Khizer is an issue at all, it is clear that his affections are for Sarah not Khirad. ( I wonder why Farhat chose both names with Khi...?) Khizer is just an excuse really to show Asher's complex behaviour, which so far has not been explained very well. Having said that, the scenes between Khirad and Asher were executed beautifully.

Someone mentioned that these writers of Digest stories are not of the same calibre as playwrights of yesteryears like Ashfaq Ahmed, and I can see a bit of truth in that. A good story needs to be seamless and effortless if it is to be enjoyed from start to end. I don't know when this novel was written, but I think when turning a novel into a screenplay, the writer and director should really sit down together and iron out any flaws without compromising the essence of the novel. Its just like if we did some academic work years ago and we read it again today, we would think we can improve it a lot....

Humsafar clearly demonstrates that we have enormous talent in the drama industry. Maybe the screenplay writers of today need to produce more consistent and higher quality of work to match the directors and actors of today.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

UZ...I know. The scene where she asks him what is wrong and he says he has a headache and then she again asks if there is nothing more going on at work ,how I wished he would just say what he had on his mind...:(

Rabiya19...I agree with you. When I read the novel I felt the same way and I feel the same when watching it on TV.Asher's behavior lacks explanation and the way he is reacting seems odd coming from the person he has been portrayed to be.It feels as if something substantial is lacking from the story to make him act this way,and sadly enough this was actually how it was in the actual novel.
Let's hope the writers do a better job for the drama.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

OMG this drama is getting boring now. Khizir is so nazal.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Khizar is annoying! First he makes a fool of himself in front of khirad and then Sara, dude take a hint! Total troublemaker! Asher was equally irritating as an insecure jealous husband, his ego does not even let him admit his jealousy to khirad, instead taking it out on her as if it's all her fault for making him feel this foul, what a typical desi guy trait :/ I am guessing these feelings are all new to him, and he just does not know how to cope with them and hates feeling insecure
