whoever posted the link to the novel...thankyou so much to them! I read it yesterday! I am not going to give out any spoilers...All I can say is Farhat ishtiaq better make some changes to the drama script because the book I read was just horrible and it has shocking similiraties to mzzb( not the whole story perhaps but the point of contention in the book). I have been following the drama so I was expecting a completely different climax then the one in the book....so yeah...I am disappointed...I wish I hadn't read the novel lol.
I agree that the novel was just alright. If you have been following the drama, you've realized that the characters are little more fleshed out.
I would not compare it to so much to MZZB. That one had a lot more religious undertones. I think this one focuses more on miscommunication and a lack of communication altogether.

yeah the drama is certainly better than the novel. But I don't know I just feel like this whole saas-bahu rivalry stories have been done to death already on our television screens! Humsafar has great romance but when it comes to the whole story line one simply cannot compare it to dramas like tanhaiyaan and dhoop kindaray! they had so much more substance and were a lot more subtle compared to this drama.
Im not sure hnk, if Feeha is really her designer … I just felt since she is very close with her family . Feeha Jamsheds father was very famous for his TEEJAYS brand! (and if you look at most of the actors outfits of old ptv dramas, all the clothes were from teejays) … but now his daughter is making big in the fashion industry too! …
If the drama was directed by Babar Javed and he casted Faisal Qureshi as Asher and Aamina Shaikh as Khirad, would you people still watch this drama with same excitement. I would even not bother to look at promos.
Yeah I dont think id bother watching at all. The actors have a MAJOR part in why this drama is so popular these days

I know there's a lot of Babar Javed bashing around these forums and for good reason considering the disasters that were Meri Zaat Zara e Benishan, qaid e tanhai etc. But for every Qaid e Tanhai there's a Diya Jale which btw is one of the best dramas I've seen in a while and though it tackles the done to death women empowerment, self realization theme, the whole treatment was very sensible and believable doing full justice to the excellent screenplay. Another one of his better efforts was Kuch Dil ne kaha which again kept this viewer gripped and poignantly delivered certain "aha" moments.

So lets give credit where its due.
My point was not to criticize all the works of Babar Javed but casting same and same actors in his production make his work boring even at times it destroys good scripts too. I don't think MZZB was a disappointment at all. He did wonderful job in Man o Salwa, Roag, Mera Sain, but he now really need to change his selected cast and give chance to new or under utilised artists.
