-HUMSAFAR-

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I was annoyed at how awkward Fawad Khan was being, it came off as almost borderline bored.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

I completely agree. He was being super awkward. Seems like he is totally a different person from his character in Humsafar...lol so disappointing! It's boring to watch him talk (i.e. when he does!) I just fast forwarded those parts anyway.

Mahira too, at times come across a bit awkward, that's what I noticed. But Naveen on the other hand came across as a very nice, eloquent speaker.

Whoosh, and the humsafar fever is over! sigh

re: -HUMSAFAR-

lol they were all alright for a bunch of relative newbies pushed suddenly to super-stardom, they'll get used to handling the limelight with time

re: -HUMSAFAR-

fawad is very reserved n shy kind of a person in real life thts wht every one says about him n mahira is very loud n talkative kind of person in her real life

by the way happy century to all humsafar's fan :)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

The after show was a bit of disappointment. For one, Ahsan Khan talked way too much and wouldn't let anyone else speak much. The only other person who got a chance to talk was Momina, probably only because she owned the channel or something, lol.

I don't think Fawad is boring, maybe he is just reserved and shy, plus Ahsan and Momina weren't giving anyone else the chance to speak. Hareem was looking so cute, and I loved how she was nodding and acting as if she agreed with whatever was being said...pity they didn't let her speak much. I mean why did they have to invite the poor kid, all dolled up, when they didn't even seem to notice she was there.

Mahira was plain annoying but Naveen was so graceful and eloquent. And I totally loved her dress!

Thank God Fahad Mustafa didn't host this show...he is a terrible host. I even wonder why they chose Ahsan khan as a host...I mean why can they not have proper anchor person or hosts? Just because someone's a famous actor doesn't mean they will make a good host.

I liked the fact that at least in the drama they showed Ashar still taking care of his mom, despite what she had done to him just because of some silly vendetta against his wife. And despite his angry outburst, he still cannot abandon her or cut off ties with her. It was very touching to see him still taking care of her.

Loved the rain scene, and the moment I saw it, I somehow knew everyone was going to love it too:) It symbolizes how they are slowly learning to move on from the mess in past and how their relationship has evolved.

Just saw humsafar again in the privacy of my room and a box of tissues and it was the perfect ending. I loved that they changed the ending from the novel. I hated sara dying because as mean and horrible as she was, she was someone who was in love and was waiting to be loved. This drama had the perfect ost, the perfect cast and 25 years from now, our kids be calling it a classic like we call tanhaayian and dhoop kinare!! Fawad would be dashing then too!!

re: -HUMSAFAR-

OMG. I want to watch Tanyaayian and Dhoop Kinare now. Def. on my to-watch list now.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

The after show :
Ahsan spoke too much . Sometimes I was like okay hurry up . Got me a a bit bored. Momina was given a lot of time too
Fawad - he. He seems shy and doesn't talk that much.
Naveen - seems like a nice girl and talks good but she wasn't given a chance to speak a lot
Mahira - I don't know but I just get that awkward feeling when she speaks..
I wanted to hear more from Hareem ( forgot her real name )

re: -HUMSAFAR-

hareem name is sara kashif :)

re: -HUMSAFAR-

My sentiments exactly!! I’m glad I read your post before saying the exact same thing… :cb:

The bar has been set very high…I don’t know if I can afford to become so emotionally attached to another drama :nahi:

What are we going to do without Ashar & Khirad now??? :hinna:

re: -HUMSAFAR-

no disrespect /offense just as joke my friend said imagine humsafar as a&b production. lol
sumbal iqbal as Khirad
sami khan as ashar
saba hameed as fareeda

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Enough has been said about the ending.I liked it overall...I was supposed to after following it for 6 months...:D
I still feel bad for Sara. She shouldn't have died. And Khizar should have gotten some kinda punishment.I also felt sorry for Fareeda...:(
As always I loved the lyrics and music in QB's voice in between scenes.I will miss that.
I tried watching the after show.It was boring.I was actually more interested in seeing what the women were wearing.I loved Naveen's dress.

And now my Saturdays can be peaceful...!

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Let me be the party pooper and say that Fawad khan was wearing a bit too much of foundation in the after show :D

I definitely think that Farhat Ishtiaq deserves a lot of the credit. She wrote a very relatable play. We could identify with all the character. So many people grew to live Sara even though she was a negative character. Even felt bad for Fareeda. Then subsequent credit goes to Momina Duraid. She is Lums educated and seems like very sharp lady. She had a strong vision for Khirad and Ashet and her casting was spot on. The director is a very humble human being. I BELEIVE it quite a lot of effort to get those scenes as we saw on tv. I believe both leads needed a lot direction to produce the scenes that appeared before the viewers. Both Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan are not like the characters they portrayed in scene. Anyways I have defiibately come to the strong conclusion that you need an excellent producer, writer, and directors. As far as actors Pakistan has great raw talent. I honestly think acting is the blood of Pakistanis. It is a country full of drama. Sometime I will watch an Indian movie and cringe. You tell it acting and i cant feel myself gettin absorbed in the character. Momina is a smart lady...hopefully she understands that overexposure any actors is detrimental. So glad they cast Sarwat Gilani as Haniya. Other production houses make the mistak of repeating the same cast over and over.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

Did anyone feel that in the live show ahsan hardly talked to farhat and more focus was on the rest, the producer, director n actors?
i must say fawad, mahira and sara kashif (hareem) looked as a perfect family while sitting together in the show.
but haaiy Mahira tujhay bolna nahi ata. :smack:

re: -HUMSAFAR-

For me Khirad’s little shikwa was the highlight of the episode. It shows that she once again find enough apnayiat towards him that she can open up and complain to him as a wife.
Atiqa uhdo definately was better in her facial expression than her dialogue delivery. Ashar and Fareeda’s confrontation was too melodramatic and a very long scene which made me bored. I really did not appriciate the fact that everybody is pointing fingers towards Fareeda and not owning up to their role and mistake. I’d say we are use to hearing about evil saas but as a husband (who claims to love his wife) Ashar was more responsible.
And I laugh out s loud when after an nerve racking confrontation with his mother and extreme stress, Ashar main walked in the next scene all suited booted. I mean come on :halo:

I would rate hamsafar as 8. It was definitely a breath of fresh air and quality production in Pakistani drama scene in a long time but by no means it was perfect. I hope that in future, talented Pakistani writers, actors, and production teams improve upon their skills and present us with better dramas to watch.

re: -HUMSAFAR-

^^OMG…I thought the same. Why was he so suited booted…kidher ki tyaree thee…??..:hmmm:
There were flaws for sure.Khirad had been so stern and rigid about her return to Hyderabad and when Asher shows at her doorstep and tells her Hareem hasn’t eaten, she says hain khana nahin khaaya…chalo main ja rahee hoon…It left me wanting some more. There should have been some more talking and explanations. But hey it is just a drama and I am glad it is over.It wasn’t like a superb story to begin with,it evolved into a nice hit drama with great efforts and teamwork and some good looking faces to look at…
