you can say the situation is nothing new and the story has been told before in other dramas or movies in a different way.
I think what is keeping me glued is script, direction, and acting. Otherwise all of us have seen many a movies where boy meets girl, falls in love, bad people come and try to ruin their lives etc. etc. but we still watch them because we enjoy that triumph of good over evil
