I agree that the novel was just alright. If you have been following the drama, you’ve realized that the characters are little more fleshed out.
I would not compare it to so much to MZZB. That one had a lot more religious undertones. I think this one focuses more on miscommunication and a lack of communication altogether.

yeah the drama is certainly better than the novel. But I don’t know I just feel like this whole saas-bahu rivalry stories have been done to death already on our television screens! Humsafar has great romance but when it comes to the whole story line one simply cannot compare it to dramas like tanhaiyaan and dhoop kindaray! they had so much more substance and were a lot more subtle compared to this drama.
