Sarah doesn’t figure so prominently in the novel. She’s just a cousin of Ashar’s who likes him but they aren’t even friends. And she doesn’t even appear in the novel till amost halfway through the story.

Looks like Farhat Ishtiaq made changes in the script then, the mother’s lack of Judgement still does not make sense though…Oh well…I still love the drama..
