I agree.
The whole super jazbati Psycho lover klling him/herself at the end is pretty typical of B grade ‘romance’ novels. In my opinion, its been done so many times that it just looks pathetic now. Its not like we haven’t seen enough of Sara’s destructive behaviour, but even for one last final push, giving her a mental breakdown and putting her in a psychiatric institution would’ve delivered the mesage. I mean how many times did they try to glorify suicide attemps and self harming in this drama, and all of that through Sara? Its like jeez…come up with something new.
Its an idealistic thought but I was really hoping that they would give Sara’s character a hopeful ending. Simply because in real world, there are more girls who could relate to Sara’s obsessive love and heartache than Khirad’s oh so dignifed silence. There are people in the real world who suffer much more, go through pure hell and endure serious heartache in life, yet they survive. Its such a shame how Pakistani media focus so much on being dramatic by using cheap shock tactics, instead of conevying good positive signals. In short, I wanted to see Sara recovering and learning to get on with her life than killing herself.
