re: -HUMSAFAR-
Somewhat agree with Mabrook about Fareeda! What I don’t understand is that if Fareeda is only reacting this way because of her husband’s harsh words then why not take it out on him when he was alive? why not confront him and throw tantrums like any normal woman would? why pretend to forgive him and be all sugar sweet to him when he apologizes to her later? why channel all that rage and nastiness towards a girl who has never personally harmed her, why destroy her son’s life and then go on to wish death on her granddaughter just because she is a ‘thorn’ in her plans, whats with the psychotic passive aggressive behavior and all because she has issues with her dead husband?? that does not make sense at all…so far she has not mentioned her reasons as such to anyone except Khirad when she was throwing her out, and all she said then was some psycho babble about her background, class, insults to her parents and upbringing and how she was not worthy of being a part of her family.
just cannot relate to her character, someone who uses her own son, sister and niece to settle a score with her dead hubby or placate a bruised ego is no victim. machiavellian? yes…victim? no!
Asher did a pretty good job at looking like a mummy’s boy, however Freeda didn’t necessarily looked like a lovey dovey and clingy mother who would go to such an extreme extent for her son’s ‘happiness’. In fact, I’d describe the mother-son relationship as quite reserved, mundane and formal at most of the time.
