re: -HUMSAFAR-
actually I think Hareem redeemed herself somewhat. Biggest problem is that she is too tall. According to her fb run by her dad she will be 7 this month. Then she was probably 6 when this was shot but she is talk fr her age. No offense to the little girl she is very cute but she is inst cast probably. but the viewer should overlook that because it may difficult o find a girl that looks that age and can act. But more annoying is the fact that is this a rental or the same house…,or how Asher accepts that this his daughter. Also director doesn’t clarify that she calls him picture walk pala Bc in the novel Hareem plays with a picture locket that Asher gives Khirad. That’s how she recognizes Asher. Bit director still doesnt clarify this point. I think the viewers could understand the father daughter relationship without too much dialogue…I think we are more interested in seeing Asher and Khirad dialogues…and how this misunderstanding is resolved properly. I wasn’t too crazy about how Sarmad Khoosat handled some issues in Pani jaisa pyar despite having an all stat cast.
Yeah, the whole picture thing bothered me too. Generally the drama’s been good with details (in the first half anyway) but they’re slacking a little bit now…
I hate the way Asher treated Khirad in this episode. She’s been through so much hell (because of him and his family), I just find it really annoying. Especially with Khirad not saying anything back to him. I understand she’s keeping quiet because of Hareem but I wouldn’t be able to stand it.
I also think Hareem warmed up to Asher too quickly. But the actress doesn’t bother me. It’s rare to find good, talented child actors in Pakistan. So many of them get cast because of family relations. And Hareem’s acting isn’t too annoying.
I’m excited for the next episode. I just really want Asher to find out the truth about what happened that night. And I hope Sara and Asher’s mom get what’s coming to them .
Ditto the parts in bold! I guess the little girl is OK, you’re right about good child actors, but I find her dialogues really really annoying. And why can’t she call Asher Abbu instead of Papa (no offense to anyone who calls their father Papa, BTW)? The constant “Papa” really grates on my nerves…
