I remember once I was on holidays in Pakistan. We went for a long drive on a city round. On way I hugged my hubby so tight purposely have my head on his shoulder and squeezing his cheeks. One of my father in laws friends saw us during out stop on a Gas Station and compliant about it at home.
My FIW called us saying I don’t want you both to go alone now out of the home. Hahahaha, "KOI SHARAM LEHAAZ NAHI TUM DONE KO".
So Kisses and Hugs only when you are not in Pakistan.
its all about cultural sensitivities. you can go and hump each other if its considered normal in your surroudings but don't act in a way that causes discomfort to others. its cultural difference, you don't have to call it ''jaahil'' / ''backward'' etc etc.
that's correct BUT we must resort to complaining against everything pakistani to feel good about ourselves.
Just the other day we were out at the Mall. Lots of crowd. Dude in front of me was wearing the same shirt color as hubby. I went ahead and squeezed his arm so I could get closer and not be separated from the person I thought was my hubby. He turns around and gives me a big fat grin. Some other guy. Totally not my definition of hot. Bummer. With extreme embarrassment I rush through the crowd and find the father of my children. :(
OK sorry to derail.
something like this happened with my mum like 15 years back on hajj, she grabbed wrong person :p
