I think you should take the initiative to plan something on your birthday/anniversary and even on his birthday. If these days are importnat to you, then you should do something. Don’t wait around for him to do it. Take control of the situation. Plan something and ask him to join you and do something together which will create a wonderful memory you can both have forever.

so lets talk about aniversaries, I think those are a 2 person deal aren’t they, so if he is not creative with anniversary presents, why dont you take the initiative and plan something, make it about something you can both enjoy, a nice evening out, some show, some activity, weekend away, whatever. Birthdays I can understand, but I really dont understand when any individual in a relationship complains about anniversary present not being something one really enjoys.
