CE, you need to be outdoor in the dark to take the pic of a dark sky. You cant take it from a window of a well lit room ..
Re: how to take pictures of stars?
no I was outside, and it was dark. at one point there was no electricity and still same result
question for people who have Nikon's:
when u turn ur camera towards the sky to take a picture do u find it's hard to take the picture?
Do the following. :k:
Re: how to take pictures of stars?
^yes to all of the above.
you are going to have the shutter open for a long time so a tripod is a necessity.

highlight of the thread:
So who sells a flash who’s light go to stars??
I am no scientist but by the time flash’s light reach starts CE’s great-great-great grand kid would be 98 years old.
oh that works every time.
Yeah do that.
CE its the light what make image on the camra’s sensor. So when you leave shutter on for 30 secs it keep making image(by collecting light) for 30 sec.
Tripod is important because you can’t hold cam still for 30 sec. and if cam moves picture gets blurry.
See, our visual system collects light and transfered to brain, brain decode/understand it image immediately, but camera has ability to wait, as xno said even for 30 secs.
Yes, CE edited out her statement of asking why her flash wasn’t firing when she tries to take a pic of the sky.
My response was WHY WOULD YOU TRY TO USE FLASH.
Seriously, I’m a getting pissed of by people.
Re: how to take pictures of stars?
har har. well, everyone seen has seen my photos so i have nothing to prove.
