Yaar, just grab your SIL by her zulfain and tind karvaa do us ki. Baal nahin hongay...to straightener ki zaroorat bhi nahin hogi. And she'll also stop coming to your home.

in some situations your unable to refuse like i have been a few times when i have been asked about car, laptop and phone . you just let them know that you need them back asap and keep reminding them until you get them back... thats what i do for the aboce mentioned items but for the hair iron you can just call her saying you need to go somewhere and need your hair iron back if she doesnt return it on her own .

hareem01 i know of a fact my iron is sitting out right in front in my bathroom, so what do you do in that case? You can't hide everything and personally i think once you establish how much you need an item, they will stop asking. Certain things like cameras, laptops, cellphones cars should be off limits to begin with.
I get your point about not showing off, but certain items, like cars where are u gonna put them?

^I have dsl for 2 years now but m inlaws still don’t know it…not that they’d ask for it but I don’t want them to make jealous. Iron etc are smaller and easier to hide…where there’s a will there’s way.
