Even the Author realises most of the problems in pakistan started with the issue of Kashmir - the Jihadi culture, the army dominance, the "pure islamic values’, anti democracy, anti womens rights, ethnic voilence, minority’s being marginalised, sharia law, breakdown of law & order, etc etc.
Well Aussindian, 50-60% of terrorism related problems in Pakistan will be solved over night if India stops training/sponsoring cross-border terrorists.
So now are you going to ask your govt. / intelligence agencies to stop that?
well the current issues won’t be an issue anymore, once we get new breed of Issues when get to make a colony of India and yes Indians will say, yeah few people want something we denied and are now looking for them to shoot them
Most grumble here how the ‘green’ passport is negatively viewed overseas. Most Pakistani’s staying overseas fear visiting pakistan because of the fear of kidnappings, crime, corruption, muggings etc.
Yet, when it comes to solving these issues, most GS people here, don’t even want to acknowledge there is a Problem in Pakistan.
I hope it is Patriotism, and not ignorance.
You are wrongly assuming that its upto Pakistan to decide to make peace or not. What about India making peace with Pakistan? How much of the problem of Jihadis and LOC was there when India attacked East Pakistan in 1971?
If at all Pakistan decides to accept LOC as border and stops supporting jihadis, what would you do about the Indian security establishment that you have no control of and that is only focused on destroying Pakistan?
I am willing to discuss this matter openly. I don’t think that all of Pakistan’s problems go away with the recognition of the LOC. Besides the dubious legality of recognizing the LOC as an international border, which I will address later, Pakistan has many fundamental issues that need to be resolved. At this point, the best solution is to put together a “cold peace” with India over the Kashmir issue. Note that this does not mean that the call for a plebiscite in Kashmir is being dropped nor the Kashmir issue resolved, however we can work on the following matters:
In exchange for Pakistan curtailing material support to the Kashmir insurgency, India needs to agree to:
Cessation of any support, material or diplomatic, to the BLA and all associated, subversive Baluchi outfits operating in Baluchistan.
Removal of consulates/trade centers/quasi-governmental centers in Afghanistan. India’s role in Afghanistan should be limited to the economic but not political. Afghanistan and Pakistan need to rebuild ties without the external interference.
Returning to the Kashmir issue, Pakistan cannot simply declare the LOC as the international border because it would jeopardize its control over Northern Areas+Azad Kashmir. The LOC is a result of multiple wars between Pakistan and India over a disputed region, it has no actual legal standing within the context of the Kashmir dispute – therefore recognizing the line as the permenant border would also lead the question of whether the Pakistan controlled Kashmir can be legally permitted to be annexed by IRP.
The best cooperation we can receive from India is non-interference in Baluchistan, Afghanistan. In turn, Pakistan needs to halt support for non-state actors in Kashmir.
I would again strongly suggest that you stop worrying about Pakistan and concentrate on India. For a start, ask your govt. to treat those soldiers with respect who are being killed by Maoist rebels day in day out.
** Martyrs’ bodies in garbage van: CM says ‘truck was new’**
*RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh chief minister Raman Singh on Wednesday denied allegations of disrespect towards four martyred policemen whose bodies were reportedly carried in a garbage truck, even as Opposition Congress demanded a probe into the incident.
The four personnel, including an inspector, were killed by Maoists on Sunday in a landmine blast targeting their vehicle in Dantewada district.
“Collector has specified it clearly that it was a new truck, it was cleaned and decorated with flowers. They were given farewell with respect. It was a new truck, a multi purpose truck,” Singh said. “Once the collector has specified it, there is nothing more to say,” he said.
However, state Congress has termed the incident as “very unfortunate” and demanded an inquiry into it.
“The incident of carrying bodies of the policemen in garbage vans is shocking and the errant officers must be punished. Chhattisgarh is one such state in the country where martyrs are being insulted,” state Congress president Nand Kumar Patel said, demanding that the state government order a probe into the incident within 24 hours.
Patel said such occurrences affect the morale of policemen and their relatives and it was “regrettable” that the state government was “unable to honour the jawans”.
“How can police insult their own martyrs. This is an effort to malign image of the police,” Dantewada district SP Ankit Garg said, denying the allegations.

And while on the subject of not acknowledging the problem at home, how about setting an example yourself and ask your own PM to acknowledge that there are grave problems in almost every state in India?
And these are only from today’s paper. Let me know if you wanna have more.
PM refuses to comment on UP law and order situation
NEW DELHI: **Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday refused to comment on the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, saying it will be wrong for him to do so since it was a state subject.
**
He was asked at an interaction with a group of editors here about recent incidents of rape and lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh.
The Prime Minister responded by saying that law and order was the responsibility of states and it would not be proper for him to comment. There are problems in several other areas of the country.
He said that he was in touch with Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati who is “quite nice to me”.
Singh emphasised that he did not allow party differences to come in the way of Centre-state relations.*
These are all internal matters of Pakistan, why do you need to poke your Indian nose in these matters?? BTW, there will be mess in Pakistan till Afghanistan does not become a functional country with its own Army, Govt, Court, Education, Currency.
If Israel gets involved with Arabs specially with Saudi Arabia than Pakistan will have no choice except to take on Israel and this will happen later or sooner and for your kind information Israel has tried twice to attack Pakistan Nuclear Program

Sir, We should stop living in dream gagaland. We are in no position to take any global initiative. We need to look inward and start a war against illiteracy, economic collapse, unemployment, population growth etc etc..
