I will be going to Umrah over summer INSHA ALLAH, and this is going to be my first time. I am very excited but don’t know what to do or where to start. I have no clue about what I have to do before going there, how to perform Umrah whilst there etc. I am a bit nervous about it. Please any tips or guide for Umrah?? Help will be appreciated!! Thankyuuuu!
Advice no 1. Don't ask people on this forum. Everyone will give your their "opinions" and paki "traditions" try Albaseerah.org or islamqa.com and learn to perform it the acutal sunnah way, not the paki way.

That is actually untrue ... Most people here give references to what they say ...

There are four main areas for Umrah ...
1) Ihram
2) Tawaf
3) Saee
4) Hair cuttting
There are various sunnahs and nawafil you can do but it is better to speak to someone from you local masjid ... I think it is important that you do Umrah in accordance with the schools and Madhab that you follow.
In practical terms half of the masjid is currently in repairs ... So really only Ajyiad and Misfallah are open at the moment.
Zam Zam Tower is the one inside the big clock ... When you go in to the masjid for the first time you can choose any door, but Bab Abdul Aziz is easiest ... There are three sets of steps ... On the last set you can see the Ka'bah ... Best to make your first du'as there.
Also note that there are shopping bag type rolls, tear one off and you can put your shoes in and take with you in to the haram. Most people feel it more sensible to carry their shoes in ...
For food you can eat near the hotel area ... There are two sets of escalators which can be seen on the floor area outside the haram masjid ... Around those are most of the classics ...
As much as possible try to go to the toilet in your hotel as the current ones for the masjid are far away on the other side of the marwa mount ...
This is what I mean ...how many different types of umrah did prophet saw do? You have to do it the sunnah way not the madhab way... and only sunnah way.. not based on which madhab u r..that is blind following .. it ok for illeterate isolated people to follow a madhab since that's all they r capable of..we have access to everyrhing we cannot just go with our madhab with a blindfold.
Obviously prophet saw did umrah one way and that is the correct way..yes there is room for difference of opinion beteeen scholars in certain specific matters but just going with a particular madhab is laziness and blind following
There will be no difference in LabBabyOfTurkey going to the sites that you recommended from any madhab … Since each one claims to be on the Sunnah and each provide their evidences for it … Rather than telling people to go with your specific orientation it is better to direct them to what they are already familiar with so long as it is within the domain of accepted difference of opinion.
Do you think that not doing rafaydain between AllahuAkbar and not saying Ameen loudly is wrong?

If you are going with a Umrah guider then he/she will guides you step by step what do to (how to perform Umrah). Otherwise you can buy/borrow a ‘Umrah guidance book’ which you keep carry with you all the time.
