^I didn't really mean "parties"- that word has a negative meaning. I think if no Eids are celebrated in the religious way nor in a meeting people wishing them sort of way, family get togethers, then there has to be some strong glue to keep the two together, some strong mutual connection, mutual understanding, some strong desire to keep the bond alive and life long. With 90% differences, you like taking long walks, he doesn't. You like visiting the masjid once in awhile, he never does, He just likes to sit at home watching tv.......then at some point there has to be something that makes you a team like you said both give and both take.
