How to love in the time of cholera ?

Now that I have served my time “for posting anti-Pakistan stuff” (found guilty under Section 4.2.3 of the GS Penal Code ostensibly), let me clear the air a little.

I am not anti-Pakistan - I am really a Pakophile. I should have been accused of "taking too much interest in Pakistan stuff". I read Dawn/The Friday Times/Frontier Post/Jang/etc more than I read The Times Of India. And I joined this forum at the height of the Kargil War- when Pakistan said it did not have any control over the militants on the mountains but was ‘miraculously’ able to command them to retreat after Clinton showed some love to Nawaz Sharif - yes I joined then, when I thought I had something to discuss with my Pakistani friends in the early days of Internet.

Anyways, before I break the conditions of my parole agreement - suffice to mention that no-matter-what I have been more than welcoming of the coming together of India-Pakistan in recent years. I felt like a “better” Indian when :

  • Indians gave a standing ovation to Pakistanis after the famous Chennai Test
  • Jaipur crowd egged on Kamran Akmal against Sreesanth and Kolkata crowd rooted for Shoaib Akhtar in the IPL
  • Ahmedabad audience supported Lahore Badshahs against the Hyderabad Team
  • Wasim Akram went after Hayden when Hayden called India a 3rd World Country . Also when Akram generated so much goodwill in India with his “diabetes” related work including his commercials on Indian TV
  • when Zardari claimed that ‘There is a little bit of India in all Pakistanis’
  • and when I supported Amanat Ali in the last version of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

But now that is the past. I don’t have to say that there is a huge amount of anti-Pakistan sentiments now in India. Pakistan players in India are sure to be heckled if they were to come over now.

So how does the healing process begin? How do we reboot our relationship ? How can we get Shoaib Akhtar and Esha Deol dancing again?

Re: How to love in the time of cholera ?

^^ What did the better indian (as claimed by yourself) inside you felt when a pakistani (moments after he heard about Bombay attacks) PM'ed you and asked you about how your family and friends are, knowing that you have friends in the area? And your reply was that venom spree on the cricketing forum.

I Say, Thank You.....Come Again! with your baghal main chouri moun main r@@m r@@m.

^ Nikamme bhai.....my views have not changed. But I have come to recognize that WA would be a better place to discuss that.

Lets talk Cricket for now.

I almost want England to win. I think they have shown immense guts in deciding to return for the Test Series.

Re: How to love in the time of cholera ?

Some1 you are the indian i like to aggravate here, because i know ur a decent guy (as far as indians go :p) who'd like people to get along. dont become like some of the angry trolls who're only here for a fight and thus pointless to try and get under the skin of

Re: How to love in the time of cholera ?

How the healing process shud began ??

Its simple ....Pakistan shud send Sialkot Stallions (which i dont think they even considered not to) ...
n India shud visit Pakistan

For the starters Indians media can report the NEWS and not their biased opinions of how evil the Pakistanis are.

:rotfl:

IPL $ kay lyay insaan sub kuch karliata hay

No, he is equating Indians with Cholera, you know population growth and all :chai:

Some1 mian, no need to attempt ‘reconciliation’ of any grade, we all know you are thali ka baingan who will sway to emotions of the time, you have no control over yourself.

Re: How to love in the time of cholera ?

To begin with

  • Lahore Badshah and Sialkot teams should be in India (for IPL and ICL)
  • Indian team should be in Pakistan for scheduled series
  • Indian news channels should air NEWS rather than their own Injected view
  • Pakistan should do everything possible to figure out if there is any link to Pakistan and should curb it

Re: How to love in the time of cholera ?

The sasoor of PCB Director General Javed Miandad's son should be handed to India. Dawood Ibrahim is an Indian National. Pakistan loses nothing by extraditing an Indian to India. And it would do a world of good to the healing process.

There is old saying, if you want to know a person then either live with him for few days, travel with him or visit him in difficult times. We have seen how you behave in “difficult times”…

sure, and I just came back from moon.

I heard he has now secured Pakistani citizenship, if that is true then he should not be handed over to India. If India has any problem with him they can file charges or present evidence to Pakistan for recent involvement.

Captain Saab....I was not trying to endear myself to you. As I said before, my views about Pakistan vis-a-vis Mumbai attacks have not changed.

This thread is about trying to have the Indo-Pak romance going again despite the strong anti-Pak sentiments in India (love in the time of Cholera).

Re: How to love in the time of cholera ?

Cholera itna hai kay kissi nay India V england ka thread hee nahin khola. :hmmm:

This is the most lamest thread. Do u expect Pakistanies to be friends with you in this time. Pakistan is a nation in denial. Its a normal reaction to the events unfolding. They cannot imagine some of their own men could do such grave crime.
Let them swallow the pill and cure the disease and we can be friends later.

Re: How to love in the time of cholera ?

^ its comments like yours that make that process difficult.

Dear Some1,

I respect and adore a lot of Indians. I have a lot of Indian friends and teachers.

The Dawood Ibrahim matter is not that simple. He controls much of Karachi as much as he does Mumbai. The public sentiment on both sides is that people like him should be atleast hanged. But the governments have to look after the broader pictures. He has the power to create havoc both in Mumbai and Karachi and therefore Pakistani and Indian governments have to cooperate in this matter (which they might not, but then... its this circle again).

Hope things work out for us.
