DO CRUNCHES or sit ups. but they alone won't help you. you have lose the abdominal fat too, and that can only be done through aerobics. I do 4-8miles of treadmill, and about 500 sit ups every day, to maitain mine. situps do wonders but YOU HAVE TO DO WITH IT AEROBICS to lose the fat. or else your not going to see those muscles cuz they'll be buried!!!
You don't necessarily have to go to the gym to exercise. You can't spot reduce stomach flab. The fastest way to get rid of stomach flab is to do cardio exercises (running, brisk walking, etc) and weight lifting. BUT if you exercise and continue to eat junk food, it won't be that effective. You will lose fat when you eat healthy, eat fewer calories than you burn, and exercise for 30 minutes 3-4 times a week. I don't go the gym either, so this is what helped me:
1) I jog in my neighborhood for 45 minutes to sometimes an hour. I combine walking and jogging. If it's not possible for you to do walk/jog in your neighborhood....how about investing in a treadmill machine? Or you can jump-rope. Jump roping will get your heart rate up and it will burn fat from your entire body. You can also rent some aerobic exercise videos/dvd and play them at home and follow along. You can also get a step stair....which most homes have....to allow you to reach high objects. Use the step chair....to step up and step down. If you increase the intensity....it will become a cardio work out. And it will tone your thighs and butt. Try exercising for 15 minutes in the beginning....and then work your way up to 30 minutes.
2) Buy some arm weights (dumbells). I use 10 pound weights. And you can lift these weights while you're watching tv or during some spare time. You might think that arm weigths have nothing to do with stomach flab, but weight lifting combined with cardio will help you lose body fat faster.
3) Do oblique crunches. This is where you lie down with your arms folded behind your head. Bring your right shoulder up...you will touch your right elbow to your left knee. And raising your left shoulder, you will touch your left elbow to your right knee. This is called the bicycle crunch and it helps to tone down/slim down the sides of your stomach...your waistline.
4) Drink plenty of water to keep your self hydrated. Reduce soda and junk food from your diet. Eat foods that will provide you the energy to exercise and that will keep your stomach full for hours. Foods like apples, sweet potatoes, yogurt, (protein), will give you energy and keep you hunger-free for a longer period.
You now have all these ideas for cardio (jogging in neighborhood, jump roping, step-aerobics, aerobic videos/dvd)
And for weight lifting, you can buy weights. But if you don't want to do that, you can fill water bottles/soup cans/milk and orange juice jugs with sand.

no matter what you do , no matter how much of any exercise u perform to get rid of the fat around your stomach. if your diet is all messed up , nothing can help u lose fat. First thing u gotta do is to tweak up ur diet a bit. See what it is that is makin u gain fat around ur tummy and then work it from there. Once u figure out what to eat and what to avoid , start off with crunches and aerobics and give it time to show u results. Diet and exercise combined together will always give u the result u want. The only problem is that people give up very quickly.

Exercise only works so much because when you run 8 miles you burn (if your 95-98lbs) only burns about 500 calories (according to calories burned www.caloriesperhour.com
This is after EIGHT MILES!!! A slice of pizza is 400 calories!! So obviusly diet is very important. You gotta lose the fat to see the muscle underneath!

grate a small amount of ginger into a milk and boil it .keep it aside for 20 minutes and drink. it works really well for ur skin and lose weight .

lol - Frozenfire - girl look 'hot' when they know how to carry themselves on with dignity.
There could be a real 'hottie' with everything at the right place - but if she does not know how to carry herself on with dignity then - "weight on the right places" does not sound appealing or respectable.

yea great tips everyone! i actually think it's 80% cardio and 20% ab work... once you've been doing some intense cardio for a while your fat will burn off and then you can focus on the whole ab game.

Im up for the cardio.. i was walking to and from the train station (10min walk each way) carrying my 13kg koala... and it worked wonders on my arms and legs and butt..
ever since ive stopped, i can feel the stomach resurfacing... not happy

^running after your kids helps to lose weight. And if you're carrying the kid, more power to your muscles! And if your carrying the kid and running (combining weight and cardio)...that's known as a faster way to shed pounds. LOL!

with the days getting shorter and colder, its getting harder to go out after dinner.. so running/jogging on the spot is all ive got these days. Im gonna give the crunches a go now
