How to keep a tikka in place?

Hi guys,

I’m getting married in 1 week and will be wearing a tikka. My question is how to keep it in place? Do I glue it with eyelash glue? use a piece of double sided dress tape? Or just not move my head?

If I use glue or tape, won’t the tikka come away anyway because of the powder on my forehead? Help!!

you can buy something called bindi glue (ebay etc sell it) its like eyelash glue but a little bit stronger. you MUA should have some and she'll know excatly how to do it. good luck with the wedding :) hope you post pics.

the bridal make up artist will secure it for you...dont worry. well, atleast they should, mine did for my engagement and all my cousins got theirs in place thru them...

Lol sorry i thought u meant tikka as in chicken tikka...my bad.

Normally it is held up by doing a bit of back combing and using pins.

Thanks for the help. I'm marrying a non-Asian, so mil can't help. My own mother never wore one, and I'm doing my own makeup etc.

I will run a test with eyelash glue and see how it holds up x

Aww good luck, yeah as iggle said use bobby pins to secure it at the top in your hair and eyelash glue on your forehead to stop it from flipping over.

try putting the bobby pin 'vertically'. as, in the long chain of the tikka should be in the middle and through the bobby pin and the pin will be secured in the hair...always worked for me :) tikka never flips!

eyes lash glue ALWAYSS works.. wenever i go to parties or whereever.. i use it and even if ur dancinn.. it STAYSSS..lol

used eyelash glue plenty of times, danced all night and it still stayed in place, that and making a x with a l out of bobbypins so i guess kinda like a snowflake shape outta 3 bobby pins per place i wanted to secure it.

Use double sided tape. I always use it and it's the only thing that holds throughout the night.

hmmm i didnt use anything....but it did stay put..
if its pinned properly on the top..it shouldnt really move...
i really hope the glues and the tapes dont irritate the skin...
