hello ya’ll,
ok , im 5"9 and im 19 years of age. I’m looking to be atleast 6"0 (better if more) by the time i reach into my 20’s. I work out 4 days a week , and have been working out for the past 2 years. I was just wondering if working out has made my height stop ? so guys.. i know i still have some years left before my height stops. Please tell me what i can eat, or have as supplements to increase my height?.. or which exercise i can do to achieve my goal.
any help on this matter will be highly appreciated.

bruv, don't worry about it, u'll grow as tall as ure body will allow, there's no excercise or supplements, just provide ure body with the food (don't diet) and let it too do it's job, loads of milk, and protein, just eat well and don't lift heavy weights, u got a couple years left..no point in worrying...u'll just lose ure hair and become 5 ft 8"........:D

and yea i second that.....overworking your body with heavy weights at this age certainly stunts your growth. so take it easy with working out for now.

nooo, its a sugical procedure.. i read it in marie claire a coupla yrs ago, they do something to the legs, they put some stuff in.. i don remember exact details. but just that it was very painful

well there are surguries to help elongate limbs and all, they are very involved and hard to deal with, but they are used for ppl who need some help to be of a height to not be seen as abnormal.
anyways nw coming back to the question. height is genetic, while you can help by havig correct nutrition and all, but if genetics have determibed you would be 5'10" then no matter what u do, you will not get beyond that.
or vice versa, I threatened my bros that I would put huge stacks on books on their heads so they dont get taller than me..since at one time it looked like they were going to be taller than me.

This is an adorable thread. My friend, your height is determined for the most part by genetics. You can eat healthy, live a good life and exercise to maximize what your parents gave you as far as potential to tower. But please please do not fall for the "Remedies" that are offered with promises of everything. You will grow or you will not and thats that. You are what you are. Try accepting yourself for what you are rather than trying to be something that isnt possible.

All you have to do is go to a doctor that is willing to shatter the bones in your legs and feet, and restructure them so you can be a couple inches taller.

“What helped my son were three things. Increasing his zinc, adding digestive enzymes, and increasing his protein. When he started on the real enzymes, Betaine HCL and Pancreatic enzymes, he started growing and growing. He is now 6’1” at age 27. During his early years up until Jr. High School he was the shortest kid in his class (yes even shorter than the Asian girls). We had given him chewable enzymes but they didn’t do much.
If you try this, let me add a few caveats. First one must balance the zinc and copper. For every 25 mg of chelated zinc then one should add about 2 mg of copper.
If one starts on the Betaine HCL, then it must be done very slowly. Start with a low dose of 100 or 200 mg with each meal and then work up over several weeks until one feels an “acid stomach”. Drink a couple glasses of water to put out the “fire”, then for the next meal go back to the last good dose. Keep in mind as you age the amount may have to increase. Twenty years ago I was taking 400 mg per meal and now 1200 at age 60 (almost).
Also make sure you are getting a lot of good green and colored veggies, organic meats & eggs, and water. A good diet for your metabolic type (www.mercola.com)), a good stomach environment, and plenty of exercise in the sunshine (w/o sun blockers) and your body should maximize its potential."

No amount of exercise or supplements in any shape or form will increase your height, it's completely natural ie. genetics. Nonetheless i've read that that bones do stop growing at 21 yrs of age (not sure if it's true though).
