Depends, what's your goal? Do you want to speak and write English more fluently? Or do you want to develop more complex analysis and a sophisticate style?

My english is horrible, I also want to improve. Why dont you take a writing class? Read books specifically meant to improve your skills. I'm thinking of doing that.

1) Read anything and everything! Don't necessarily rush though. In fact, take your time with whatever you're reading and don't be afraid to sit in front of one sentence for an abnormal amount of time, just as long as you understand how it works in the end!
2) There are books that also highlight 'common errors' in speaking/writing english as a second language- these would be very helpful!
3)Find an English buddy who you can chat to online, instant messaging. And make it clear you want to improve your english. Do not use short-hand when doing so :)

Seriously, this site is HORRIBLE for english. Challenge your reading skills. Read material that you find difficult to read. You can only improve by challenging yourself.
I'd recommend you find an academic journal you're interested in. Start reading that.
P.S. Praying to allah? Hah! What language will you do that in? Forget praying, take it upon yourself.

It is simple. You need to be passionate about its spoken and written aspects. There are many sources but you can use the following which I have used/continue to use/suggest.

Editorials.
This is one of the few English dailies from India which many people have been suggesting to read for improvement in English. I have benefitted a lot from it. It showcases a much better quality of English in comparision to other English dailies of India. Nothing to do with Hinduism.

Once in a week watch a good programme about History, culture, nature, wildlife etc. on National Geographic/Discovery Channel to improve pronunciation and dialogue delivery.

Seek/create opportunities to give presentation/lecture to your classmates.

Avoid following type of terminology.
Lemme, gimme, temme, bcos or bcoz, wanna, dunno, gonna et al. It is tantamount to insulting a language.

I teach English at a university in Lahore, and once I was given a class which consisted of all those students who failed in the entry test...and I was given the task of improving their written English to a level that they were at least able to pass...and I did it by making them write A LOT...and then correcting their mistakes, explaining the mistakes to them, telling them strictly NOT to repeat those mistakes...by doing that I managed to make them write good English(all of them passed in the final paper)...though not perfect...so I think this is how you can improve.
Read books and pay attention to the structures of the sentences, vocabulary(spellings plus pronunciation) and also the articles...since articles are not used in Urdu...many people find it difficult to use the correct articles when they think in Urdu and then translate their thoughts into English, then write English, and get help from someone to get rid of your mistakes, and then promise yourself NOT to repeat your mistakes.
