How should one flat iron the hair to avoid damage and get max. shine
What is the best flat iron in your opinion, there are so many out there with tons of info it is hard to choose.

Make sure u're hair is dry (not even damp)
Part it in small sections.. and "hook" that section in a fine-tooth comb.. follow with u're iron.
"Set" u're hair with a setting spray..

U can use a serum but that weighs u're hair down.. but it stops the hair from drying-out because of the heat.
Sedu and Chi are two brands that work well.. both are ceramic thus less damaging.

It depends really, if u just need it for special occasions and once in a while, a Revlon/remington/conair brand will do... if u need it for everyday/regular use, then perhaps invest in a sedu/chi/t3 etc

I think so because everytime we work with wet hair, there is a greater chance to damage the hair...
Blow-drying is a lot of tugging and pulling, more hair loss.. but the results are better.. the hair is lifted from the roots and dried which makes it appear fuller and bouncier.. ironed hair appears very flat..

xactly..i have very thin/flat hair, if i bd it it will stay somewhat decent for at least 2 more days than if i dont do anything to it.
how can hair that looks so good e so bad :(

ok, i straighten my hair every other day and it’s always in great condition. i barely get split ends or anything unless i go for months without even a trim but that don’t happen often.
i highly recommend Remington hair straighteners. I prefer them to GHDs and it’s not me being cheap coz I’m never cheap on this short of stuff. Not all the models are good though.

me and my best friend made the discovery 3-4 years ago. she doesn’t straighten her hair much so bought some remington ones coz they were cheap and was amazed by them. i was just about to buy some GHDs and she said to try hers first and i loved the way they straightened but the hair was still so soft and shiny so i bought them instead!
the temp dial is great. my hair is quite fine so between 2-3 out of 5 is perfect for me.

i have the wet to straight one and am not impressed wtih it. nxt time i will get a slimmer one b/c i dont even need it for all over.

Hair straighteners are horrible for your hair. The heat overdries your hair, sucks the moisture out, and leaves your hair in bad condition in the long run.

i love 'em. and you get so much for your money. long cable that swivels, heat protection bag! and other small things that are often missed out like an on/off switch and light indicators for on/heating up.

Best hair iron thats easy to use and flattens with ease are GHD hot iron- A FANTASTIC piece of Technology and they really are worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
