Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
I hardly ever straighten my hair, but when I do I use ghd wide irons which works wicked, also I have used "wet to straight" in the past by Remington which also works really well

Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
Remington is very good. Very reasonable too.
I have wavy hair and it works well on my hair. Although I dont want to damage my hair any further so let my hair stay curly/wavy and just apply mousse.
Don’t over use it. Use it now and then because it is rather harmful for your hair like Pareezay said. I lost a lot of hair when I began using it regularly:hinna:
Yep.. save it for special occassions..ANY heated product is damaging..ruins u're hair-shaft completely.. even if u use a protecting serum before.
Thanks Marwah
you are the best ![]()
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
what about this one?
Sephora: T3 Bespoke Labs Medium Duality Iron: Blow Dryers & Irons
and one more thing, couple of ppl I know use falt iron like every other day their hair seem totally fine/healthy. I know it depends on hair type too, but what do you guys think??
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
Buy the SEDU!!! It does wonders!!! It straigthens without any frizz!!! I'm so in love with that flat iron!!
I have VERY long hair (waist length) and thick hair, so it does take forever to straighthen it, unless i have my mom or one of my little brothers (i have to beg them, heehee) helping me. But if you cut it, it shouldn't take that long. The only reason I don't cut it is because I plan to the thermal hair straightening soon to permanently straighten my hair and i thought that would look nice with long hair.
Honeslty though, the sedu is the best one ever!!!
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
Thanks GJ, I love gulab jaman :) best mithai ever :)
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
I use the Solia, great iron! I cant live without it. The trick is to not straighten it EVERY day. Use it only 3-4x a week max. I dont use any product I just use a really good conditioner (Pantene) and it stays soft and shiny.
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
I use a cortex straightner and it does wonders. I don't usually straighten my hair so I bought it cheap and it has lasted me over 3 years and still going strong :D
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
Really I have cortex one, it didn't do much for my hair :(
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
do mousses have damaging effects???
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
^ I don't think so. The chemicals in it may dry out your hair slightly in the long run if you use it alot.
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
I would recommend the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it heats up to 450f with temperature control, dual voltage, tourmaline ceramic plates with rounded edges which makes it great for also curling your hair. Also has a 3 year warranty. I have one and it works pretty good :)
Re: How to flat iron the hair and best iron??
GHD straighteners without a doubt! There's a reason why they are never beaten. GHDs leave hair with a silky finish and do the work for you. Although they heat up very high, they do not burn hair. Also, they are not ceramic coated as most other irons are but are full ceramic plates. Regarding how to straighten, wherever possible you should wash your hair, towel dry add a product such as serum or whatever else you may want and then leave it to air dry. Once fully dry, start the straightening by sectioning in two sections from ear to ear, clip up the top section and straighten 'free hand' by this i mean dont be super precise, grab sections as you go for a more natural finish. If you use GHDs, you will notice that they work with thick sections of hair very very well so you dont need to section and use combs. Also, whilst some people may prefer poker straight hair, it does look best when there is movement through the hair and it isn't entirely flat. Hope this helps. ps- I know real GHDs are expensive, they are an investment but I have had mine for 10 years and have never regretted having it- buy it once and you'll never look back :)
