So ladies and gents how would you go about ending a relationship?

  1. Its not you its me? Bull**** really.
  2. Lie about dying or moving and never contact her again.
  3. Ignore her? Flat out ignore her.
  4. Actually move and never contact her again?
  5. Just tell her point blank its her and break her heart?

Someone somewhere owes me big time for this.

If the relationship is marriage... better to divorce her rather than doing any of the things stated above :p

If it is only boyfriend/ girlfriend relationship, better to be upfront about the reasons for ending the relationship. No person is desperate enough in the world to beg you not to end the relationship.

I vaguely remember you had once mentioned in a thread about finding a way to turn a girl off (through words/actions)....to the point that she ends the relationship herself. In other words, getting the girl to do the work for you.....and (in a way) reduce the pain/preserve her ego because it would make it look as though the rejection came from her and not the guy. I'm surprised you haven't listed this strategy.

^Or perhaps the above is an indirect variant of the "It's not you, it's me" strategy....and it's implementation could possibly entail #3 and other actions to put her off. I am speaking in a general manner though.

you tell her/him you dont think you both are compatible with each other and therefore it would be better for both of you to move on

Sometimes it is not that easy ms. lxl especially if the couple have been in relationship for long. And when too much emotiaon involvement has been invested. Then what should we do??
