This is not inspired by PCG’s “degrees are completed by” or any thing, I did not even read that.
So lets say degree is under grad(I assume under grad is grade 12 + 4 year in uni ?).
So you end up with lots of some thing. You have an mind open to ideas.
You moved on in life, you DID NOT put ideas in opened mind!!!
What is the point ? for having open mind when if you did not pursue some thing seriously.
Like really seriously. Like lived an idea.
When do we actually close our mind, close in the sense of “closing a deal” or “closing a sale”
Some what a proper follow through on some thing, or any thing.
I personally do not enjoy company of an open mind
I rather talk to a *kaariger, or *any one who do some thing with their hands, and accomplish stuff right in front of your eyes.
What exactly do you mean by ‘lived an idea’ ?
Doing things in a different way ? Or traveling the road less traveled by ? Or simply being passionate about something and following through ?
Uni degree is not about education/open-mind/ideas. It is about setting a goal and achieving it. On the way you might learn some standard methods of acquiring knowledge, but that is about it.
how about you open your mind a bit and put some effort into making your post sensible and understandable by the reader? this would fail 6th grade composition - the aim is not to write fancy but to communicate with another human being. try to organize your thoughts, and write them down without skipping any connecting ideas.
I get what Mr. Monk is saying. To you, closing the deal is the final goal. To do that one should first open ones mind. Fill it with ideas. Then in order to execute the ideas, close ones mind. Like the kaarigar.
Then open ones mind. Fill with new ideas. Close mind. Execute ideas. This is kaarigar stage.
Mr. Monk - coincidentally, today’s WSJ had an article about passion and company founders. That too much passion could be counter productive. Drawing an analogy with OP, too much pie in the sky is counter productive. Looks like you are onto something.
