please speak!
useless topic.....un-religous in my view...
btw, ask armughal....he has an interesting theory on jinns (the creatures of the fifth dimension).....damn, its hard to imagine the fourth dimension and ppl talk abt 5th dim...
take some nutrient agar in a petridish.. open the lid for a few seconds. close the lid.. incubate at 37 degrees overnight..l there you have them.. millions of jins.. :)
^ like Oxy-jin, Hydro-jin, Nitro-jin.. etc..
well they can be called "jin" too as we can't see them..
but i meant E.coli, salmonella, klebsiella, bacillus etc.. bacteria..
Jinn means something/one hidden.. not visible..
I have met a Jinn! A real one.
Hahahaha dream on! You can never capture me!
iz dat a bongi? ![]()
if not den let us kno bout it
?
Rehaan, i think it’s bettah to aks da elders…i hear really kewl stories from ma parents n grand parents…very interesting ![]()
hmph buh i ain’t sure…can u really capture a jin?
Yah I want to know too so that I can ask him to go rob a bank :D
BTW can it also be a female jin? in that case I want to capture a nice pretty little dame, 36-24-36 will do nicely. :D
they are jus like us...they have males females kids, only thang is they r invisible...us humanz can't see em....cuz they r made wid fire n we wid mud...only Allah(Swt) knows :)
I've heard millions of juicy stories about jinn’s from my grandparents in Pakistan.
I also know some people who actually speak to them.
There's a kid from my school who got possessed a few days ago by 2 jinn’s, one Kafir female and a Muslim male. He says the Muslim one tells him to pray and stuff and spend time at the Mosque but the Kafira tortures him and has even tried strangling him with a rope. (I didn’t think jinn’s were into sado masochism).
My uncle says that yesterday at the Mosque at the Night prayers the kid started screaming and stuff so the Imam exorcised him and he returned to normal.
I’m fascinated by Jinn’s/Spirits but I don’t think I would like to meet one though, I’d **** my pants.

Disbelievers and munafiqs on the day of resurrection will come out of their graves as if a jinn has overtaken them...
Dont get into it - This is unIslamic

27.36 So when (the messengers with the present) came to Sulaimân (Solomon), he said: “Will you help me in wealth? What Allâh has given me is better than that which He has given you! Nay, you rejoice in your gift!”
27.37. [Then Sulaimân (Solomon) said to the chief of her messengers who brought the present]: “Go back to them. We verily shall come to them with hosts that they cannot resist, and we shall drive them out from there in disgrace, and they will be abased.”
27.38. He said: “O chiefs! Which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me surrendering themselves in obedience?”
27.39. A ‘Ifrît (strong one) from the jinn said: “I will bring it to you before you rise from your place (council). And verily, I am indeed strong, and trustworthy for such work.”
27.40. One with whom was knowledge of the Scripture said: “I will bring it to you within the twinkling of an eye!” Then when he [Sulaimân (Solomon)] saw it placed before him, he said: “This is by the Grace of my Lord - to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! And whoever is grateful, truly, his gratitude is for (the good of) his ownself; and whoever is ungrateful, (he is ungrateful only for the loss of his ownself). Certainly my Lord is Rich (Free of all needs), Bountiful.”
^history says that Queen of sheba was a wealthy and strong monarch. the time is around 1100 BC. Hz. Sulaiman (as) wrote her a letter to submitt to God, and instead she sent him presents.. an act of defiance.
the verse
027.038
YUSUFALI: He said (to his own men): "Ye chiefs! which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"
refers to a custom in those days that visiting Kings were presented with a throne to sit in.. when they came to the Host kings court.. which was built by the king as a sign of respect. "her throne" means that it was especially built for her.
027.039
YUSUFALI: Said an 'Ifrit, of the Jinns: "I will bring it to thee before thou rise from thy council: indeed I have full strength for the purpose, and may be trusted."
Ifrit is derived from Afara, which means strong and powerfull.. with intelligance and sagacity.. a cheif.. a lord..
This is said to have occured when Hz. Sulaiman (as) was travelling and the whole court was waiting for the reply from Queen of Sheba on a place..
So thios noble Ifrit from the court of Solomen took the responsibility of building the throne to recive the quenn in the alloted time..
027.040
YUSUFALI: Said one who had knowledge of the Book: "I will bring it to thee within the twinkling of an eye!" Then when (Solomon) saw it placed firmly before him, he said: "This is by the Grace of my Lord!- to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! and if any is grateful, truly his gratitude is (a gain) for his own soul; but if any is ungrateful, truly my Lord is Free of all Needs, Supreme in Honour !"
the word used is "Tarf", which apart from within the twinkling of an eye, also means "noble man", "messenger from yemen", "governement revenue"..
obviously a messenger was sent to the Queen and they were waiting for the reply.. so common sense says that the translation should be " i will bring it to you before the messenger returns"..and in addition it could also mean very quickly..
similarly the "knowledge of the book" also means the one who is learned in different fields, like finance.. and all the finances required to build a big embellished throne are not a problem for such a person..
so there are two noble men in court offering their services to build a throne before the messenger comes back.. looks like it was the second offer which was accepted.. as the "knowledgeable man" presented his services in a convincing manner.
The word "jin" also means mighty.. and can also be used for noble men.. as "naas" is used for opposite.. common people..
027.041
YUSUFALI: He said: "Transform her throne out of all recognition by her: let us see whether she is guided (to the truth) or is one of those who receive no guidance."
the word Nakkar-hu is used for "Transform her throne out of all recognition", according to Lane (arabic dictionary) it also means that he made it look ordinary.. so The throne built by King solomon's courtiers was such embelished in such a way that Queen's throne looked very ordinary infront on it..
This is a kind of diplomacy being played here.. and you have to understand that Queen and her people were proud of their power, unaware of the grandeur of King Solomon's court.. and his capabilities.. So all these preparations were made to make her see the truth (that she can't match King solomon's might).. evident by the verse above "let us see whether she is guided (to the truth) or is one of those who receive no guidance."
027.042
YUSUFALI: So when she arrived, she was asked, "Is this thy throne?" She said, "It was just like this; and knowledge was bestowed on us in advance of this, and we have submitted to Allah (in Islam)."
This verse has been translated with more accuracy by some others.
PICKTHAL: So, when she came, it was said (unto her): Is thy throne like this? She said: (It is) as though it were the very one. And (Solomon said): We were given the knowledge before her and we had surrendered (to Allah).
SHAKIR: So when she came, it was said: Is your throne like this? She said: It is as it were the same, and we were given the knowledge before it, and we were submissive.
Clearly, Quran does not tell "fairy tales".. keep that in mind..

So what does Quran mean whenever it talks about "Jinn", once you said "jinn" is something hidden, now you said "jinn" could mean "mighty". how many more meanings does it have?
People can also consider Solomon talking to animals as "fairy tale", what do you think?
