I agree with the bolded part (in my situations) Again, this isn’t about like group settings, but more of a one-on-one deal or a very small group of people. I don’t like the generic approach, because that’s wannabeish and it’s obvious it’s not sincere and the connections I want to make are due to sincerity and fondness? argh
